Saw this in time but just couldn't pull the trigger as the game is just not that good IMHO. I would be interested in an X-men pro for this price though!

Quoted from thedarkknight77:I owned an LE and thought it was decent. I bet the pro plays better as few things I could not stand on the LE was the bridge going up and the Thor Targets always resetting.................None of those issues are on the pro. I actually disabled the bridge on my LE and it played a lot better.
You needed to do the WPT drop target washer fix. Did that on mine & haven't had any problems since..
Quoted from Rascal_H:I got the last one. I think I need a hug.
Me too. I just told the wife
Quoted from rockotaco1:Guys these will probably be cancelled
they can only hope! Avengers… blah!
There's a reason these are being blown out! RUN!
I bought a TV + Surround Sound from amazon about five years ago on a similar "huh, that can't be right" type of deal. It worked out fine for me. I bought it around 2am and by the time I woke up at 8am the price was back to normal. It seemed like a system glitch that was honored.
Quoted from Shado1w:I'm pissed I missed out. Sleep is over rated
I was awake when I saw a few available but it just didn't add up. New seller...zero feedback...goofy fee circumvention....Just didn't feel right. I hope it works out for all those who jumped on it!
Good luck to all you guys. At that price I probably would have tried my luck too if I had saw it. Can't wait to see how this turns out.
Quoted from DaveD:Man I missed out
Well, look at it this way--you also missed the opportunity to potentially get screwed.
I'm crossing my fingers this works out for everyone here, or at least people are able to get their money back if something goes wrong. But if one thing's for sure, most of you have bigger balls than I. I personally wouldn't have given $3k to someone blindly without any sort of proven track record.
I doubt anyone is going to get screwed, the 3rd party might be unknown, but it's through Amazon and they're not going to let anyone get scammed on a sale through their site. Worst case scenario is it's BS and you get a refund IMHO.
Quoted from stretch2:Something doesn't smell right here.....
That's because tiki showed up to shit on the thread. That's TeeKee stank you're smelling.
Just kidding TeeKee. I'm still good for that coffee.
Quoted from Shapeshifter:Market saturation. This kind of things happens - not unusual.
Fail to see what that has to do with a QUILTING SUPPLY SHOP having 10 NIB stern pins...

Yeah, maybe if it was something like, "Smith Amusements, Inc." or something, I might be more inclined to give it a chance. But a quilting company? Eh.. Doesn't seem right. But again, I hope it's legit, if only for the fact that the games were cheap and it doesn't seem something like this happens that often anymore.

Yeah well.....until yesterday, I didn't think it was possible someone would throw a pinball machine on the curb in an apartment complex, it would sit there for two days and not be completely stripped to the bones, then we would end up pulling out 700$+ of parts out of it after someone gave it the heave-ho into the dumpster......
But it happened! I can't tell you how many times I've been in the "This is too good to be true.." holding pattern and then it worked out with pinball stuff. =)
If it comes damaged in transit, you get a refund of $11, but maybe you eat the $3k shipping, danger, danger, Will Robinson....
Even if the orders get cancelled, you'll likely get something for your troubles.
A few years ago, I was in the market for a new TV. I noticed that one of the models I'd been keeping an eye on was priced about $1,000 less than it should have been on Overstock.com. I knew it was an error, but figured "what the heck" and ordered. The next day, I received an email explaining the error, informing me that the order had been cancelled, and I'd been given a $25 credit on my account. Apparently, some people made a stink about it because, the next day, I received a call from a manager, who apologized for the error and informed me that they were giving me a $500 credit. I'm sure they figured I'd use the credit to buy a TV, but I didn't. I got some nice pots & pans, PS3 games, and some sunglasses.
I figure, Amazon would provide some sort of compensation as well, if the orders are cancelled.
Quoted from jfh:Their website says free shipping on orders of $100. One of you buyers should offer to "overpay" by $89 and see if you can get the free shipping.
I definitely would have done this^^^Or ordered $90 worth of other stuff & donated it..
I just got an email that says - see below - starting to smell scam here - let's see if others who ordered got the same thing - thanks ed

Lol, great deal for those wanting an Avengers as a keeper… if those people actually exist?
I can see it now… couple months from now… marketplace… filled to the gills… FS: Avengers Pro… make offer… get this sumbitch outta here…
Still good with coffee?

Call Amazon directly: 1 (888) 280-3321
Ask them what the problem is.
99.99999% chance Amazon did not send that email.
(as a matter of fact, I have never even given Amazon my phone number....)

I figure it should be backed by amazon as well as my credit card company.

That's weird! Did anyone else get this email who ordered?
Quoted from TomGWI:That's weird! Did anyone else get this email who ordered?
I have not. I have my confirmation email from Amazon and my order still shows "processing" when I log into my Amazon account. I checked my credit card and still nothing has been charged yet. We'll see soon enough I guess.
-Ed
just called amazon and the order # I gave them show up blank - they will call me back within 24 hours - I also just checked my credit card and nothing is pending on it
thanks ed
No note here, although I did send one myself earlier asking for confirmation of shipping method and date. I used the contact seller button on Amazon's track order page.
This may have been mentioned already but was it conceivable to buy all 11, pay $110, and get free shipping (by the letter of the ad).
A couple years ago Sears was blowing out their inventory of Stern Pinballs. They had Iron Man (Not classic) and Batman for $3700 shipped in November 2010 or 2011. It does happen, but you guys are totally right... It's a quilt shop, but it's worth a shot.

Those people do exist .....I'm one of those you say they don't exist. If I could only keep one pinball from my collection it would be avengers .....

This is a scam email. Don't log in to amazon from the email link, don't reply to the email. People get similar eBay ones. eBay has a [email protected] email where I send things like this. They go after the person, not sure if amazon does as well... Generally it's a link to a fake login where they steal ur account info, or u reply and they mess with u... If u close the email and log into amazon separately ur ok. Don't click any links on that email. If u did hurry up and go into amazon through a normal web browser and change ur password now

That's my kind of luck!!!
So this means that in addition to obsessively checking Craigslist and Ebay for deals, I guess I now have to check Amazon. I would have snatched this up right away.
Oops... Just read the rest of the thread... Hope it's legit and you guys get your machines.
Quoted from PismoArcade:So this means that in addition to obsessively checking Craigslist and Ebay for deals, I guess I now have to check Amazon. I would have snatched this up right away.
.
My thoughts exactly !!
Umm... really guys? You actually believe you are buying a legit pin? Sometimes we want to believe something so bad we overlook all of the red flags. So, someone name one legit thing about this ad someone can hang their hat on?
Is it...
The too good to be true price?
Could it be the how its priced with shipping?
Maybe its the quilt shop that has been and really could be a distributor that got caught holding too much nib pins and needs to blow them out?
its priced the way it is because its a scam in motion. If they send you anything they will claim you entitled to a full refund less shipping. Not sure how they plan to make this work and maybe hoped some would pay with some form that provides no protection.
When have you ever even seen a quilt shop? China or the Philippines?
Damn, I hope I am wrong here or at least no one gets taken for money.
Quoted from Monarca1091:Those people do exist .....I'm one of those you say they don't exist. If I could only keep one pinball from my collection it would be Avengers .....
Wouldn't be my number one, but I think it is definitely a keeper. Dialed in, it is a fantastic game.
