Making the gauntlet look like the movie prop would be a mistake IMO. This is a comic based game. The one on the Premium/LE does look plain but an airbrush artist could make it look great! It just needs some shading. I wish the gems were more gem-like. If you take a look at the topper, they used some bubble glass like material. I would have liked something like that or an acrylic gem with subtle faceting. Hopefully modders will be able to take what is in the game and make it look better.
Quoted from evileye:I wonder why they didn’t color the stones, unless those LED’s are RGB?
I was wondering the same thing. Maybe they are RGB just so they can be used in full playfield light shows?
Quoted from bbulkley:It would be very challenging to get that kind of force from a pinball.
Challenge accepted!
Quoted from cooked71:Omg, enough with the spinner post talk. What if I told you it’s been tested 756437 times in Sterns testing department? 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for 6 months they belted a ball at that thing and it’s still perfect.
But how well can it withstand a constant barrage of speculation?
Quoted from Pixel8Arcade:I respect what you are saying but it’s a risky move for Stern. The animations and call outs could be horrid and turn away buyers whereas movie clips and real actors would have less detractors. Let’s see what the live stream shows.
It's really not. A risky move would be if they spent a large part of their budget on licensing actor likenesses and movie clips while making a game with one ramp, one spinner, a mono target and a bash toy. Look at how unique the playfield is. Seriously who watches the clips if the ball is in play anyhow? Save the good animations for events where the ball is staged or locked. Sound design is more important to me than licensing movie clips that I have seen hundreds of times.
