Quoted from Kevlar:Anyone else think the main background we see most of the time ( trophy room?) is just, well, crap?[quoted image]
Yeah it doesn't "Wow Me" or really even fit into the game much.
Even when I get several trophies it's really hard to see any change, if that is what it's for - to display trophies - it's a bit of a miss unfortunately.
It could use some enhancing. There's some neat details in the trophy case but too small to be easily noticed. Also It would be cool if at least some of the trophies were animated somewhat. I want to see Dr Strange's hand/arm.. portal in briefly.. take the time gem trophy... then replace it shortly afterwards, and other random animations/etc.
Quoted from Kevlar:Anyone else think the main background we see most of the time ( trophy room?) is just, well, crap?[quoted image]
Completely agree. I could see this as a 'nice to have' once the code is near 1.0, so perhaps we'll get a nice surprise. It just strikes me as a pretty big design miss.
What are the odds Stern takes suggestions from Pinside posts?!?
99% of the time we're looking at a blank trophy room, would be OK if it was an incidental screen we didn't see very often but it is THE main screen.
its early code. more stuff coming im sure. Game shoots well so code can always add this stuff. Tho i will say the outlanes are drain monsters. Tough game for me.
Quoted from Broohaha:What are the odds Stern takes suggestions from Pinside posts?!?
I will say that they seemed to listen to requests for Deadpool - especially after the long awaited 1.04 update, there were a couple minor requests that Stern quickly put into 1.05. So I have to give them kudos for that as the new Deadpool code is pretty much everything the group wanted!
Quoted from Broohaha:What are the odds Stern takes suggestions from Pinside posts?!?
Based on my experience, any reasonable suggestion gets heard and considered.

Myself and others in the reveal stream months ago said the exact same thing.
I can buy them shoehorning trophies into an Avengers game, I guess, because it's a game and collecting trophies is fun even if it's not anything to do with anything close to anything an Avenger has ever done.
But I pretty much hate that you constantly stare at an empty blue room, or if you're good (or lucky) a room that looks empty but has one or two tiny trophies sort of visible.
Show the Avengers you've collected standing around. Show the Black Order (minus who you've defeated) standing around looking mean. Show the score really big. Anything is better than nothing, which is what they went with.
4th day of discovering this pin by playing (after watching lots of vids), its fun for sure, but my son & i we havent the "big positive flash" we've got with JP...
let's see how this evolve
i'm at 501M, my son 470M, not bad but far from very good scores
meanwhile, i've done this :
Since our arcade can't get open until this pandemic starts to ease up, I decided to work with the folks at Surrogate.tv to connect our Avengers Infinity Quest LE to the internet for anyone to play. That's right, this physical pinball machine is connected to a camera and computer that allows you to queue up a game and battle the Black Order from the comfort of your living room. Feel free to give it a shot! https://www.surrogate.tv/game/avengers
Quoted from RipleYYY:... not bad but far from very good scores
[quoted image]
I disagree. I think those are pretty damn good scores.
Quoted from timmmmyboy:Feel free to give it a shot!
I have never seen that before. Pretty amazing! Note: you show "offline" through the week. (Maybe it's due to me not being logged in...)
Quoted from Broohaha:Note: you show "offline" through the week
Yeah I think I have to set specific times because setting the game to 24/7 shows it will be offline all week which obviously isn't the case. For now I'm leaving it on all the time but will probably have a schedule later (the game is at our office so not a huge annoyance for people to be playing it all hours of the day/night)

In queue to play this now. Thanks!

tanx... and just done 638M
well, its a location/hiring pin, i didnt reset the scores because its more fun (to compete), and it was before set to friends
first Franck Bona (i suppose you know him) did put 622M on it
than a friend did get the pin 15 days, he puts 642
now pin is here for another 15 day (its day 5), and 638
all these are very close than
but its nothing to what Johannes Ostermeier did to AIQ few ago... this young guy is an incredible oustanding player !!!
wow thats really cool! thanks for doing this. will give it a try.

Quoted from Kevlar:Full or quick update? Stern don't give any guidance as far as I know.
There's a read me file that lists all changes https://sternpinball.com/support/game-code/
Its a minor revision that looks to resolve several bugs and add some call outs and light show effects.

Thanks, I know that, I was wondering what the difference is between a quick install and a full install, they don't say. In their readme they just say select quick or full without telling you why you would make such a selection.

you're right of course, but as a "player" i'm simply proud...

But but how though
Anyone have any issues with the auto plunger? Mine goes fully around maybe 5% of the time. Sucks having every multi ball start in the pops.
Quoted from MikeCP:Anyone have any issues with the auto plunger? Mine goes fully around maybe 5% of the time. Sucks having every multi ball start in the pops.
yep, same here
not only the auto plunger, the manuel plunge too
seems as an evidence that the ball is "hitting the wall" on few places, losing the good trajectory & speed, with the know result
Quoted from MikeCP:Anyone have any issues with the auto plunger? Mine goes fully around maybe 5% of the time. Sucks having every multi ball start in the pops.
Yes - I noticed that it was not going all the way about 75% of the time. I upped the strength to 255 (max) and the successful % went down! It was posted earlier, but apparently there is a sweet spot. I kept dropping the strength, testing, dropping and it started working again. I think I'm at 235 or so, but YMMV. Just keep dropping from the max until it starts working.
Mine now goes fully around about 95%. Hope that helps.

I think you need to step away from the machine for a while. Your scores are getting excessive. My best is 360M. My exit lanes are killing me (in a good way.)

Ha, 'twas a nice thought. But on mine there's no way that works. It just gets weaker and weaker.

Yeah, I haven't been able to get my manual or auto plunge to consistently make it past the pops either.

Absolutely. It sucks.

the pin is here for only 15 days (as said above, location hiring), still 9 to go, than of course i'm playing it (but still not that much in fact)
and same here about outlanes, as said already the slings are really dangerous and all touches need nudge controls else its going quite always in outlanes...

Yep. Every ball that goes near the outlanes or slings requires a nudge, especially on the right side. I don’t think adding a diamond post is the answer though as some have done. Just have to hone your nudging skills. Hardest skill to learn.

I totally agree. The machine was meant to be played as Elwin intended, not with oversized posts to make it easier... this game is definitely made me a better more patient player.
Happy thanksgiving all!

Just wanted to say thank you for this! Even though it's laggy for me being half a world away, I've adapted and have played several games. I'm having a blast and it's given me a taste of a pin I've desperately wanted to try but haven't due to covid (no location play for me right now). Even hitting the Marvel ramp virtually is a rush.
The one main improvement I'd like to see in future code is the music. A pin with this much flow and comboability (that's a word, right?) really deserves some driving, uptempo tunes a la Deadpool. If any of the Stern crew is eyeing this thread, please consider this my humble request that would likely seal the purchase of a premium. A little more energy would go a long way and make it feel a little less serious.
First time posting here. I just ordered the AIQ pro. Talked to the dealer.about upgrading from the pro.and he said it wasn't worth the extra $1,700 and they were having problem with the Dr strange spinner. I currently have the deadpool pro and am very happy with it

That's awesome to hear! The lag is what it is, it will probably never be perfect even in the best of possible environments and internet speeds but I think it's a pretty amazing and unique thing to be able to offer someone the ability to "experience" even some portion of a particular type of physical gameplay. Particularly when the doors are still closed on our space, haha. Thanks for playing!

Wrong

The pro is a very good game. It’s subjective, but I love the marvel ramp. The staged lock isn’t really exciting because you can’t even see it, but I do like shooting the lock when the disc rises. I like the right scoop as well. I’m not sure if it’s $1,700 worth it, but I do love the premium. If you can try both, it’s the best to see what you find worth the cost.
well, the extra ramp & the tunnel lock are 2 nice features of course
but than, the PRO is already a good pin to shoot, your personal ask here should be about the price : do you want to put more on this pin or not ?

If I could only make one of those pins Premium, I think he should sell his Deadpool Pro and make THAT the Premium and keep the AIQ Pro (since he can't do both). Much bigger play experience upgrade on Deadpool Pro to Prem than AIQ Pro to Prem.

hmmm
again, its personal, i prefer DP PRO then PREM/LE...
i first think that the full left loop was a nice idea, but than having played a lot the 2 versions i've changed my mind
Quoted from RipleYYY:hmmm

The loop isn't the only improvement. Disco multiball is a much better experience on the Prem due to the disco ball and there's no aftermarket equivalent. Drops are much nicer on the Prem than standups on the Pro. Slightly different physics that feel nicer.
Anyone have trouble with the ball rattling in the first section of the right orbit? on my pro about 50% of balls seem to get air somehow and bounce/rattle about before it even gets fully past the shooter lane entry. To me, the guide seems to be too straight in that section near the shooter lane entry, rather than a gentle curve, which narrows the width of the lane. It's not so easy to move ball guides with the way they're secured through the playfield.
