Fantastic and beautiful movie. Very moving and completely not what I expected. They stuck the landing.
Also, Thanos still rules!

Quoted from TigerLaw:There are no iconic captain marvel stories that I can think of.
Only one.
A2EBF8C7-DEDF-4243-8D8B-D2DC945A44DE (resized).jpegCaptain Marvel is not a great character, either male or female. Carol Danvers has been all over the place character-wise and nothing sticks. I tried the Kelly Sue Deconnick run and it was not for me at all. When Marvel went through the Marvel Now phase a few years go they tried to elevate her and other characters up. It mostly felt gimmicky and pandering to me. I really did like Jane Foster as Thor but nothing else landed for me. I wish they would let this character fade back away but I know that will not happen. Oh well.
Read an interview today on yahoo by the directors and they explained that when Cap went back to put that stones, he went to another dimension to live with Peggy as to not mess up things in this timeline and dimension. So in addition to time, you have different dimensions, which fits with a lot of Infinity stories. So, that could be the explanation for some of the incongruities. Or, just a convenient excuse.
Quoted from Eryeal:If he went to another dimension to live with Peggy, how did he end up back at the current dimension when he was older? And if he went to another "time dimension" to live with Peggy, that means in that dimension Thanos most likely did wipe out half the universe and he lived with it. Some things I think are better left unexplained, because when you do try to explain them, it creates more inconsistencies.
I hear you there. Here is the article I referenced
