Yes it can. Go into adjustment and you can set each avenger to easy, medium or hard. Setting to hard means it takes four shots to start the avengers. On easy it only tkes one shot. I think those that are racking up points in excess of 100 mil have it set to easy or med. On hard, I scored 61 mil. On medium, my score jumped to almost 80 mil, largely because on the easier settings its easier to get more MBs going.

I think you have the LE version, and I think it's easier than the pro because of the ramp feeding the left flipper. Not a ton easier, but it sets you up a little better when you need to hit NF, BW or IM. You can also spell Loki a little better with this set up. Still, scoring 100 mil on three balls is definitely better than me!
