Recently found a NIB Avengers LE Hulk. Distributor is still asking full retail price $8600. I’ve seen NIB sell and flip for < $5500.
I’m most familiar with new vehicle purchases, and I know after a period (usually 1.5-2 years), the manufacturer will provide a rebate to the dealer. The dealer then owns the inventory and responsible for sale. This can provide significant discounts, and I’m wondering if pinball is the same.
Bottom line, once he box opens, the game is worth $5000-5500 at best. I’m just wondering how much room there is to negotiate with a distributor. He’s already held this inventory for 7 years.
Are there manufacturers discounts for aging inventory?
