Quoted from MustangPaul:I just got a 90cm blue chasing led strip that I'll be putting on the right ramp. Keeping my fingers crossed it looks good.
Could you show us where you ordered your LED strip from?

Quoted from MustangPaul:Hey Mike before you buy one wait till I finish my mod because the only way I've found to stick it to the ramp is to super glue it on, that makes it permanent, so it's not for the faint of heart. No super sticky tape or hot melt will stick to the silicone that the strip is made of. I've already kind of f'd up my ramp. Wait till I post my mod before you do anything. That goes for the others thinking of doing this light mod.
Thanks for the help and the advice. I will wait and see how it turns out, but it sounds like it will be great. It would be really cool if it could tie into the gameplay as well. Is it possible to tie it into the Banshee insert?
This may be a good application for the pig 2. It's expensive but it sure would be cool if it worked.
Quoted from mattster:Sorry if this has already been mentioned but an alternate solution to the SDTM problem is to substitute a wider post just below the spring. This has been about 95% effective for me.
Also, an alternate pop bumper cap configuration.image.jpg 214 KB

I will have to try that. My game kicks my butt with SDTM quite a bit even with the spring.
Yes, I even checked the level again the other night to make sure. This is the second one I have owned and the first one seemed much easier to play. On the current one I have it seems that if the ball rolls off of the spring slowly it lines it up perfectly to trickle SDTM. Of couse I need to listen to Steve Ritchie more and "Play better!" Because my friends seem to be able to shred the game.
Quoted from MustangPaul:All of what you did looks fantastic. I'll be interested to see how that pf protector holds up, affects game play and how flat it stays.
Me too, keep us posted on how it holds up if you don't mind.
Costerguy I love the look of the LEDs that you used. Did you use iced blue for the slings and inlane guides or are there some purples in there as well? The more I use iced blue the more places I find they work really well. I'm going to have to buy a few hundred.
Quoted from MustangPaul:You could always add the mini domes like I did.
Wow! It must be the way they photograph but they look purple almost. Looks good though.

That's great! Thanks!
Quoted from Rarehero:Put the spring on the post directly below the one that it comes on. Ball will always fall perfectly out of the pops area to the left and never hit the target if you change that one little thing.
I will try that. Mine has been killing me also. What do you do with the part of the spring that is designed to latch onto the playfield hole?
Quoted from Rarehero:I bent it into a different shape - so it still goes into the hole in the wood where the target is...just "routed" a bit differently. I wish I had some pics handy - I posted about this mod a bunch of times...there are probably pictures on RGP.
Thanks I will try that out for sure. I really do love the game.
