Hmmm maybe...
Quoted from ZfromEarth:Somebody know what is this? I put it back ( behind the rubber )[quoted image][quoted image]
That’s the spring to stop ball exiting the pops and going straight down the middle.
Quoted from J85M:That’s the spring to stop ball exiting the pops and going straight down the middle.
Ohh cool. I put it back. ( is this in Pro version? I dont remember )
Thanks
Quoted from ZfromEarth:Ready to install...[quoted image]
You should get beatmasters shooter housing light up now.
Quoted from ZfromEarth:Ohh cool. I put it back. ( is this in Pro version? I dont remember )

Should be on all versions.
Quoted from ZfromEarth:One more important question:
Color DMD - LED or LCD ?
and Why
Thx.
LED looks best on avatar imo darker blacks and brights whites/blues just “pops” more than the lcd, but again that’s just imho.
Somebody know where I can buy "Instruction" and "Free play" cards? I didn't find on the internet.
Thanks
Quoted from ZfromEarth:Guys,
What does it mean this?
I dont know use the operator menu.
This happening if I open the coindoor[quoted image]
I simply means that when the door is open it disables the high voltage under the playfied...it is a safety mechanism. You should see a white push/pull post to the inside left of the coin door opening...if you pull it out it will reactivate the high voltage...push it back in to deactivate.

Its fine! It’s a safety feature once you open the coindoor it cuts the high voltage circuits under the playfield, good for you and your games! Just press the service menu button on your coin door to jump into the menu.
You will see a little white plastic button/switch on the left hand side of your coin door I’ve attached a picture below, if you press that in/pull it out with the coin door open it will reactivate your 50/20v supply Incase your want to test anything.

Yes I know this, but I don't know start the service menu with the button.

From the interlock screen you posted above. Press the black button twice to go into the service menu.

Been trying to find some footage of both led vs lcd display for this title to work out which way to go.
Anyone got the lcd in theirs?
I saw this post earlier in the Alien thread https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/alien-pinball-official-game-thread/page/525#post-5514960 and it got me thinking about the Link/plastic coffin on Avatar.
Would anyone be 100% interested in a new movie accurate Link? No idea on price yet but if there’s enough interest it could happen, I’ve always wanted to replace the Link bed but until the last couple of years we haven’t really had the influx of 3D printing and mod makers we have now.

Absolutely! The current one looks like a cheap eye-glass case.

That was going to be a project of mine if I ever got an Avatar. I was also going to work on an operating one for the Pro but unfortunately I have now found a machine yet.

Cool guys at least that’s a couple interested and I’m sure more would be.

Shows that thanks to 3D printers being where they are now compared to Avatars release, that it should be easy designing and making one, the hard part is we now need someone with the skills, 3D printer and an Avatar!

I hate the engineering of it, too much crap at the point underneath the playfield, a redesign would be killer and much needed
Quoted from MustangPaul:I'm not interested, I have an LE that I lit the inside so that's good enough for me.
Boo Paul, very boo! I thought you of all Avatar owners would love a great looking Link bed (aka coffin)
I’m also looking at trying to get some custom pop bumpers made to resemble the bumper flowers from the movie, if I could get them to bounce up and down when the pop fires even better.
Quoted from dung:I would be out since as an le mine moves.
Mines an LE, my plan is to get this made in two parts so it works with both LE and PRO models.
Could do with gauging some interested as I may just make a one off if there’s not enough interest.
So with that said who would be interested in a movie accurate Link bed? And who would be interested in flower pops (2 would fit as standard) a 3rd would require permanently altering the plastic that covers the left most pop.
Quoted from DavidPinballWizz:I pass on everything... just not into (unofficial) mods.
What would be considered an "official" mod? Maybe the current line of Stern Toppers...nothing else comes to mind.

Yes, a movie accurate lighted link pod with a more realistic Sully figure...I'm in.
Quoted from FtrMech:Yes, a movie accurate lighted link pod with a more realistic Sully figure...I'm in.
The one I’m designing won’t have a sully figure, so it will either hold the existing one or be empty, although a printed photo from the film may work... let’s see.
Either way I want a little more love for my avatar hugely underrated and it would look so much better with a little more in the playfield like the bumpers being the flowers which they are on the dmd.

I agree with you...I really enjoy my Avatar, bought it NIB. That said, there are some things about the machine that are a bit annoying, the link pod is certainly one of them but the AMP suit and Quaritch looking straight down along with the "radical" removal of its guns are a bother...something I have learned to ignore.
They should release a retrofit UV light kit like they did with stranger things. it would fit the game better than stranger things!
Quoted from Turtlepower169:In the club now. Tried to give it that DisneyWorld Pandora at night look. Comet Ice Blue with fluorescent green posts.[quoted image]
Looks nice. Maybe consider adding some "mirror blades" to give it some depth...

Yes, I have mirrors on my LE and they look great Also get the Pinball Universe shields from Pinballlife so you won't scratch them up. Worth every penny.
Sadly, I am going to have to leave the club. Selling a Beautiful Avatar LE that is listed in the marketplace.

Joined the club 3 weeks ago as my first pin and am loving it. The previous owner had replaced all the lights with white frosted LEDs, but other than that it looks brand new. I have added a ColorDMD, BrightMod flipper buttons, a blue start button, and today replaced all the white LEDs with non ghosting color matched LEDs for the inserts, and added some color for the GI. Pictures before and after. Let me know what you think.

That's one of the things I am struggling with and attempting to fix. I wanted to add some splashes of color, but at the same time highlight the beautiful artwork. I left white for the most part in the center of the playfield (along with the spotlights), but realize I need to add some to the upper playfield as well. It doesn't look quite so washed out in person, but I feel the blue in the upper left is overbearing. Do you have any suggestions? First time pin owner here and to be honest not 100% what I'm doing haha!
Just leave it all white. You know Stern added one blue light near the link pod, look at the plastics above.. all blue.
If you use coloured gi leds they wash out colours everytime...never understood why people use them.
BUT in the end it's your machine, if you use all pink leds, go ahead But for me the game pops the most with all white leds installed and a led ocd pcb for the inserts.
You could add the banshee toy and avatar figures like Stern did on the LE.
I like it before, my LE is that way. Do you have the OCD board in it yet? It is a MUST have with the leds in it.
