Don't quote me on this because I'm not positive, but I'm pretty sure this is how you update it:
1. Download .zip file
2. Extract files in .zip and copy the .bin file to the root of the flash drive
3. Power off the game
4. Flip dip switch #8
5. Insert USB stick into USB port
6. Power on game and follow prompts to perform update
If it's like my TWD, once the update is finished, it will tell you to remove the USB stick, flip dip switch #8 back and then power cycle the game.

I followed the steps outlined in the manual and it worked like a champ: https://sternpinball.com/game/avatar/

Ohhh I searched these some days ago, but I ordered a regular Siderails.
How much?
I tried to order some stuff for my Avatar LE from pinball center and couldn’t get any shipping info. Tried to message them with no response. Anyone know if they ship to U.S. Seems odd if they dont

I’ll let them go for 150 plus shipping... they are raw and ready for powder or plating

They are hard to get stuff from to the US....

As far as I am aware they do not ship to the U.S. unless it’s sent via some super expensive air shipping method I have ordered stuff from them multiple times and sent them on to the U.S. for pinsiders stateside as a work around.
Still have the full set of lasered hinges and rails available..a few offers for one or the other but would rather keep as a set since still sealed in box from overseas.

The price is good, I'm still thinking....
My Avatar Pro machine upgrade almost ready.
I wanna buy a LED OCD. What do you think about this?
The LED OCD - Stern SAM - Stern/Sega Whitestar is $129.00
The GIzmo - Stern SAM - Stern/Sega Whitestar is $49.00
Should I buy both? I think the LED OCD is enough.
Thanks.

You’ll notice the biggest improvements with the LED OCD (for the inserts). I haven’t noticed a lot of similarly impacted effects with the GI lights.

Just make it 160.00 and I’ll include shipping to ya

Ok Thanks. I'll buy only the LED OCD.

I need only one pcs.

If you decide to buy the kit I will gladly buy the plastic under the ampsuit from you!

Is this same like the original Stern molding?
Thanks.
I have the LED in my Avatar LE. LED is brighter and the Dot's are more pronounced. LCD has more of a smooth T.V look to it. I have the LCD in my Iron Man and really like it. Just like the LED in Avatar better than LCD. All comes down to preference imho.
I prefer the LED versions in my game regardless of price. Never been a fan of lcd's unless the game was designed for it. Exceptions being AMH since it was not designed originally with it and led is not available.

Yes, should be the exact same, if it were me, I'd replace all at once so there is no matching issues.. since u are already paying shipping.
Quoted from J85M:Avatar looks stunning with cool white dominating the lighting with hints of the blue, green and purple if you must go with colour..
I agree with this, I just finished my LE, tried pinstadiums on here with cool white GI, pretty amazing looking really. The pinstadiums are set with warm white and aqua combo.

Great photo! Nice detailing on the AMP suit.
Does a shaker motor add a lot to the Avatar Pro game? My teenage boys don't seem to like Avatar and I'm wondering if a shaker motor may catch their interest. My wife and I really enjoy Avatar. My boys seem to gravitate to the Spider-Man and Avengers games when we go out and play pinball. Just curious as to everyone's thoughts.

The LE's had a different version

I added a shaker and it’s great feedback for the jackpot shots. I don’t think it fundamentally changes the game at all though, so might not change their opinion. It’s a very challenging game that rewards stacked modes and multiballs, which is what I dig.

Thanks for the feedback. Agree, I like the stacked modes for sure

I think Marco sells them for $25.
Hello everyone. I have a question on an issue I'm seeing with my Avatar Pro. Since they day I bought the machine there has been a technician error stating that switch 23 (shooter lane) is out. Now that I'm learning more about fixing machines I decided to replace the switch. It was an easy fix to swap out the switch. However; something strange is happening. Every time the ball is kicked out into the shooter lane the amp suite shakes. It's like the switch for the shooter lane is tied to the amp suite target (#36). After a few balls are kicked into the shooting lane, the machine activates the multi-ball because it thinks the target has been hit the appropriate amount of time. I'm beginning to think that the previous owner removed the switch for this reason since there was missing a diode when I went to replace the switch. This is above my knowledge range at this point. I'm guessing the signals are somehow getting crossed. Any ideas as to how I should fix it? I'd really like to fix it as opposed to removing the switch diode again.
First step is go into a switch test mode and see how everything looks. Actuate the switches in question and see what the display shows.
I have solved the issue, it was the result of a misplaced wire that my dad didn't ask me to double check lol

Congrats, thanks for posting the fix
