It would have been a must see movie in theaters up until about 2015 for me. Then I started to lose interest in this theme and then 2020 happened.

I learned about me that I totally do not miss the ambience of stale popcorn and random coughs. I’m part of the demographic that the movie theater business lost for good. “Only in theaters” isn’t the marketing genius they think it is.

2023 has extremely good, very large TVs with reliable streaming so I’ll watch it when it’s available for streaming (rent, not buy. I learned patience.).

I changed my mind and saw it in the theater yesterday (I wanted to wait for streaming).

It’s gorgeous. Unbelievable what’s possible nowadays with CGI. The story is also more interesting than the first Avatar.

I’ll watch it again on the biggest 3D HFR screen in Dallas. It feels like you are on Pandora. Incredible.

Quoted from Daditude:

It was incredibly boring. I knew it would be all CGI, but I was hoping for a story line at least. They just miraculously brought back all the dead characters, used the exact same plot as the earlier movies, limped through it with poor dialogue, had pathetic character development, and brought nothing new to the table...and it just went on and on and on. Several audience members fell asleep.
I couldn't wait for it to end.

Sounds like the latest Avenger movie. With much better CGI.
