Not really a theater guy but got tickets for Friday.

While long at least it didn’t seem super long. I’ve sat through bad 2 hour movies that seemed longer. Wife really liked it, I liked the cinematography. Glad I went to 3D in theater but no need to watch it again in Theater or at home. But I’ll go back to theater for 3. For reference this is my first trip to theater since Joker.

Quoted from CrazyLevi:

It was entertaining. Def could have been chopped by 45 minutes or so.
Saw it an empty theater upstate for $11, beats Times Square for $30 a ticket with 900 people.
Gotta give Cameron credit he does a great job taking awful dialogue and rehashing action movie tropes and just making it all irresistible.
The dialogue is dumb (“we have unfinished business! Ride that son of a bitch! Don’t call me buttercup, perv!”), the characters all look and act alike and are tough to tell apart, everybody and everything is one dimensional…and you just don’t care!!
So what’s the next one? Desert? Dirt? Underground caverns? Cloud city?

I saw it at a dinner theater… ticket was $13 each but dinner and dessert for 2 was $80.

Theater had about 30 seats and was 80% full, guys next to me said they walked up and bought there ticket right before the show.

I don’t think this movie is going the hit the film maker’s box office expectation.
