The purpose of this thread is to list unclaimed Cactus Canyon Collector's Edition Plaques that others may have available for sale (or not!). It's a fair assumption that many of these plaques were lost, thrown away, etc. however for the ones that weren't, it would be great to list them here so they may find their respective machines.

If you have any plaques and would like to help them find their home, please post or pm me their numbers and I'll add them to the list below.

Please register your Cactus Canyon on the Internet Pinball Serial Number Database!

  • Main
  • Registration
  • Once registered, please add your plaque number(s) under the 'Game Traits' tab

General Information:

  • History
  • Planetary Pinball Supply, Inc. owns the rights to these plaques and they should not be reproduced without their approval.
  • The last 3 digits of the game's serial number represents it's plaque number.
  • If you sell or buy a plaque, please let me know so I can update this list.
  • If you find your matching plaque, post a victory message!

#5 8 years ago

I'm now listing those seeking plaques as well; I might as well do this right!

945 needed, based on memory, I'll double check it though

#7 8 years ago

Still looking for 658...

#8 8 years ago

I have 719. Need 829.

#9 8 years ago

Looking for 344.

#10 8 years ago

I had a third one I sold on eBay last year. I don't remember the number

#11 8 years ago

I've updated the names listed to be hyperlinks to message the owner/seeker and changed the title to something less specific to only owners of plaques.

#12 8 years ago

Thanks

Hi,

I do have many between 31 and 316 and 890 and 920...

Do you have 59?

It is the last 3 digits of the serial number.

According to superfluxshop.de (link in first post), they have this plaque.

Looking for #172.

#21 8 years ago

I've scoured the interwebs and, under the new 'last known locations' section, have listed all plaques I could find that were attached to the wrong game at some point.

I've also listed all numbers Superfluxshop.de claims to have so the searching folk may find this thread a little easier.

Agreed, but we've got to start somewhere I suppose. At the very least, it's helped track down plaque 519!

What are people willing to pay for the plaque that goes with there game, if it should pop up on this list someday ?

No offence intended John. Everything is worth something to someone, no doubt. It really irks me that people try to gouge the owners of these games for hundreds of dollars for these plaques. It is very unfortunate that WMS dismissed the orignal distributors/owners and threw them randomly.

Yeah Believe me I fully understand that and I deal with it everyday. I was more or less just curious what the going rate was these days for that little piece of metal and that would help me decide weather or not I want to pursue the one for my game. No offence taken.

Does anyone know where the gap in serial numbers was? If they only made 925 games and I have 945, they must have skipped some numbers right?

Ah, right, that didn't even register when I added you to the list. I don't believe any plaques were made past 925.

To support that, here is an excerpt from the 'History' link in the first post:

Each plaque was individually numbered from 1 through to 925 as that was the planned production run.

Excellent question!

I might be willing to pay $100. Unfortunately, that is far below the going rate.

#35 8 years ago

Call me insensitive, but why is it so important to have the exact matching plaque? None of your friends are going to look at the serial# stickers and say, "eeewww, this game sucks. It has the wrong plaque on it". Sure, down the road, if you sell it, some low baller is going to bitch about the mismatch. Tell him to get the F*** out of your house.

This isn't like a car registered with DMV. If it's that important, why not just reprint the serial# stickers and stop worrying about it.

I can't speak for others, but for me it's just a completionist thing. I truly enjoy this game, have many hours spent playing/working on it, and I don't have any intentions of selling it.

I honestly never consider what others will think regarding my machines. I just enjoy the hobby. To me it's important for them to be as complete as possible and if there is a one-of-kind plaque floating around out there that matches literally only my machine, I'd like to have it.

I'm also not in this hobby for resale. I don't make it a rule to over pay for games, but I also realize that the time and money I put in is likely never to be returned.

Regarding reproduction: I'm not against this and, in fact, am in the process of having one reproduced as well as reproducing one myself from an existing plaque (for funsies). That being said, if the original were to show up, I would most definitely want to purchase it, regardless of already having a reproduction.

Damn it, I have a red headed step child CC. I will likely just have one 3d printed. Seems easiest to me. As for the search for an original, I will keep my eyes open but if it doesn't happen it doesn't happen. The weird thing about my game is that it had a plaque on it at one point because there are four screw holes where it should have been located. Likely some idiot on the street stole it.

Interesting! It's worth noting that SuperFluxShop's list hasn't been updated in years (I've added the date to the original post). I have also heard that some reproductions were made at some point.

It might be worth contacting SuperFluxShop to see if they also claim to have your plaque. From what I understand, they have the plaques mentioned in the 'History' link above where 300 of them were recovered from the trash. So I would assume if they have your plaque, that would be the authentic one.

Also, as a side note, the plaques did come with gold screws and were meant to be mounted on the front by the lower right leg (as seen below). I'm sure whoever mounted yours simply didn't want it to be stolen and didn't necessarily care and/or know where it was 'supposed' to be mounted; hence the screws and location. That being said, I actually prefer where yours is mounted as it doesn't obstruct the artwork.

Actually this sort of makes your game the rarest of them all. Of all the machines made, most had a plaque made for them, few have their matching plaque, and even fewer never had a plaque made for them at all!

What's interesting is that, according to the IPDB here, there are a confirmed 903 units ever produced. I'm curious which serial numbers never saw the light of day and for what reason.

Your plaque number is listed in the 'Last known locations' section. It appears it was last recorded as being attached to game #868. Granted, the last time the site owner updated the list was 10/3/04!

I've pm'd you the contact information of the last known owner; good luck!

#43 8 years ago

someone needs to just start 3D printing these.

I was going to do a file and make it available on shapeways in a gold plated metal and would be a much cheaper option, already started but never got feedback on another thread so stopped. Shapeways has the ability where each customer can custom add their own serial number.

I've began working with toyotaboy to do exactly this. I didn't realized you had been working on making one as well. I'll shoot you a pm.

I have #522, but need #931.

#47 8 years ago

I can easily recast these off an original and fill in the number, from there people would just need to stamp in there number on the plate. I can make the mold in a day and have plates the next day. Only concern, copyright issues. Anyone know the details on who has the rights on the plates....Rick?

So if I can help save everyone time and "Help" not steal this away from you guys, lmk

Years ago, I took an image off eBay, added my number and made apron cards for my game.
I have to reprint the one. I spilled a drop of Novus1 on it.
