I feel stupid even responding as I don't have that game... but have you actually tried taking it apart a bit. I suspect if you pull the lock ring and start to unscrew a couple things you would find a way. Maybe on the back side? Just seems like if you dropped it out you could see the mechanism or know you need to punch it out etc. good luck! It's just me- I rip stuff apart first and tend to ask questions later

I don't have the parts list handy, but I assume you can just buy the plunger and link already attached with a new roll pin, since you need a new link anyway.
