I had this exact same problem. What I discovered was that the connector on the eddy board was loose, so that when the slingshot fired, it caused the connector to vibrate, making and breaking contact, causing a false switch closure. On the eddy board, I slightly bent the connector side closer to the pins, to make a tighter fit, and more firmly hold the connector in place, and the problem went away.
