Pinside,
I'm heading to Austin in a few days and had some time to kill. Was wondering what the pinball scene was like and am asking for recommendations on places to visit.
I appreciate the group here!

Tuesday nights I run a league at the original Pinballz location. Pinball Map is used around town, some locations are out of date. Cidercade, Pinstack, and Shooters all good locations.
Bat City Pinball group on FB is fairly active.
Non pinball stuff I recommend renting a kayak on Lady Bird lake. Wear sunscreen and bring water for outdoor activities, it’s been well into the nineties the last week or so.
Austin doesn’t fall short when it comes to Pinball. Ironically I’m going to Tucson, AZ soon. I usually hit D&D Pinball but I noticed it’s closed, that’s too bad. Any other good areas in Tucson?
Dont waste your time with pinballz. They don't maintain their games and are over priced. We just got a cidercade with a bunch of games and they DO maintain them
Also the cider and food is amazing
Quoted from pinaholic:New comedy club downtown. The Creek and The Cave. Top notch comedians and pinball.

Our main joint, D&D Pinball, is closed. However, I've heard good things about Cobra Arcade. Its adults only bar with retros, pinball and full service bar.
Jesse is taking care of the pins at The Creek and Cave. The owner used to have pins when they were in NYC, and prominent in the pinball scene. They would love to run some kind of league and tournament
Hi, allow me to revive this thread for an off-topic question (although the cool places to play are also going to interest me).
I'm going in May, and here are the main AirBnb's I've shortlisted. Obviously the ones outside of town probably don't have as much excitement within walking distance, but if there really nice areas I don't mind the drive to go to town.
As for the other areas, I don't know if there's anything I should know as far of are some of them in shadier areas and such - any pointers from locals?
