My girlfriend and I visited Pinballz Lake Creek today and I must admit to echoing all the posts here. We are looking for our 3 rd game and thought to go and play a few before making any decisions, well we played a few (all were working ) but on every single game we played and it was a few (Batman, Medieval Madness, Spider-man, Jurassic Park, Tales of the Arabian Knights) every game and I mean every game the flippers were so weak we couldn't make any ramp shots! couple that with the fact of the price increase and it was a disappointing experience. We went to the original location just before Christmas and the experience was the same. Sad to say we won't be going there any time soon again until they start taking care of the machines.

I'm still a noob in this "hobby" and would love to know what other alternatives there are in town to play some decent machines,

We will have to go and check out Buffalo Billiards but that means a drive to downtown and that's at least an hour from me!

Yes Pinballz has a lot of machines but they really don't have a lot of Newer releases, most times quantity does not mean quality!

So just got back from the original Pinballz, the good news is the machine have had some TLC they played a LOT better! They now have a Munsters Pro at that location! The bad news is that it's $1.65 per play! All of their newer machines are now Pinballz card only no quarters or tokens! Card only machines from what I remember are, Metallica ($1.35), Wizard of Oz ($1.35), Houdini ($1.35), Star Wars Premium ($1.35) and I think there was one more I can't remember what. The older machines are still coin operated and still take quarters (which is recommended to take seeing as you only get 3 tokens for a dollar) But I must admit the machines I played were in much better shape than the last time I was there. So at least they are going in the right direction! I'll give credit where it's due.

Just read in the Austin American Statesman that Cidercade is coming to Austin!!!!! At the location of the old Joe's Crabshack, they will have 250 games!
That's great news for Austin Pinball fans
