I have a powered subwoofer that was part of a home theater setup for an old dell desktop, Can i hook up the subwoofer to my GOTG?

enclosed is the back panel , i assume i would need to splice into one of the three input wires ( it has green, orange and black) and connect these to the pinballs speaker connections ,

not sure if those are rca or 3.55 mm plugs but if i recall the wires will have an outer ground sheath and then a wire in the center core? Pic enclosed,
    thanks for any useful input!

    Quoted from YeOldPinPlayer:

If you just splice it in you're changing the impedance. Not generally a good idea.

thanks for the reply , please elaborate, not a good idea as in something will blow up or just won't sound good?

I see posts where pinsiders splice into the cabinet speaker and connect to the speaker connections on the subwoofer and report good results. Is there an issue unique to the desktop subwoofer( line input level or something) as it does not that have red/black speaker connections?

I remember back as a teenager it was all the rage to add 2 extra speakers to your stereo by tapping into the existing 2 speakers, I think it did change the impedance and lower the output per speaker but with a little extra volume our untrained ears were happy with more speakers!
