I have a couple of buddies who don't fancy it. Each to their own of course!

I would opt for the Infinity in this comparison. We have leased 5 Audis over the last decade and while competent vehicles, something always goes wrong. I would never own one out of warranty.

We also lease a new LS Lexus every three years and no other car we have had has proven more reliable or comfortable. It's by no means inspiring or fun to drive, but it does get you and four passengers to wherever you need to go quickly and in comfort. I also love the overall build quality and the quality of materials used to assemble the interior.

The nicest sports sedan I've driven is the new Cadillac CTS. I haven't driven another sports sedan which handles as well or provides such good feedback. I am shocked how gosh darn good it is. I would buy the nicest CTS-V I could afford as opposed to an Audi or Infinity.

Bought a 2008 G35 XS in 2012. Paid less than half New price. Had 75k on it. Now has 197 k. Tires and maintenance. Bulletproof. Goes great in snow.

Here's my 2 cents. Audi is making great cars right now. Better driving than BMW according to most journalists. However, you are in the same boat as me. I like to buy used and drive for a long time. From everyone I have talked to or read about, the Germans are big money after the warranty runs out.

In your place I would do one of two things. Find the best used Lexus and don't worry about anything breaking. The second is find the car you want at Carmax and get their extended warranty. Doug Demuro did the second one with a Range Rover and Astin Martin and got his money back in about a year. I know those aren't German examples, but from what I have read it is similar.

The predator grill looks a lot better on the Lexus cars in person. However, it is terrible on the SUV's, especially the LX570, which otherwise I would own one day. Not with that grill though.

You guys are scaring me w/ the Audi horror stories.

I've seen piece of shit Audis barely alive.
