First time ive noticed this on a nascar, dterm whitestar, v4.00 rom (v4.50) is latest.

Have any of the fellow pinsiders noticed some insert light sequences missing intermittently? Ive seen this on my nascar and was wondering if updating the rom would coo
Rrect this. Nothing is mentioned in the change log and i can confirm it happrns - specifically the mode light ring aometimes will just go blank in attract mode....

It will run thru a light sequence in attract mode and after a cycle of all the attract mode, it sometimes comes back.

Ideas?

Thank you for the tip. So i plugged in an incandecent bulb into the sequence that gets skipped randomly and it still misses!!

Thanks for the reassurance that this is not a completely unknown issue... i havent been around a heck of a lot of pins and this is the only one i know that exhibits this behaviour.

Yes, it is primarily about attract mode as from every pin ive seen, all the inserts light in attract mode (dmd era).

However, i did play a few times and its a bit hard to explain, but some sequences (when the lamp pattern scrolls counter clockwise on the mode lamps, for example) and for some reason that sequence will randomly not play in attract mode, and also, in game.

I guess you can say if im asking is this normal, im a bit more curious if anyone notices stuff like this and finally, how does one fix it? Is it a rom revision? Nothing is listed in the 4.00 --> 4.50 update that calls out improved insert choreography or fixed attract mode..

The problem first stemmed because i thought it was ledocd that was causing the issue, but after removing it, and using incandecent in the problem-inserts, i noticed the sequencss are still missed, intermittently.
