Quoted from RacingPin:I just finished fixing up a Laser Ball. During game play if I knock down all the drop targets they stay down until the next ball. I checked all switches on the drop targets and they all register and a sound is produced when dropped. Checked the manual settings and nothing about this there. Is this normal?

Suspect intermittent/dirty horseshoe switches (up to 5) The LA & SER target banks are linked together these 5 targets must be all down to actuate a wired chained switch #24 from all five targets to complete the circuit for the one SW 24 input.
The Software needs to see SW# 24 to reset both LA & SER target banks in gameplay. so a total of 5 circuits need to be completed for sw 24 to register. The score switches are separate SW# 19,20,21,22,23 resister scoring alone.
The "BALL" Drop Target Bank drop target bank is not related to LA & SER for reset and has it's own Chained Drop Target Reset Switch #38 to signal its scoring is done with SW# 34,35,36,37
Drop target switch boards function as a momentary switch action for score input, and a normally closed switch action in the down position to connect part of a series until the loop is closed so a drop target reset signal is produced (all targets are down) there could be one or more not connecting the series.
The software performs a RESET on all targets unrelated to SW# 24 and #38 during start up and between losing a ball.
