    Quoted from thirdedition:

It is going to trickle down any day now...

It’s trickled straight into your paycheck

Lowest unemployment rate in history and rising wages also trickled right down into your paycheck.

    Lol. At least socialism died

Delay the reveals, spend the additional time FINISHING YOUR CODE.

    Quoted from iceman44:

You aren’t getting more. You already got it and get it every day That’s a positive UNLESS something changes in Nov and taxes GO UP
More importantly small businesses like Stern all pin makers got a MAJOR tax rate benefit that continues which leads to more jobs!!!!
Lowest unemployment rate in history across EVERY race, gender etc. rising wages across all income levels but mostly the lower half. FACTS
FAKE NEWS agenda driven media won’t report that

Bummer, was hoping for more back.
Just got laid off do to corona for 7 weeks.
Everyone says April first but i work in entertainment and everyone at board meeting is saying May 1st.

51 in the US out of 2340 reported cases thus far. 37 come from the State of Washington, 19 from the nursing home. FACTS, FACTS, FACTS

While I agree with you on some of the hysteria issues, the numbers are complete BS. The testing that we have now is joke. Thats why the numbers are irrelevant. IMHO No one really knows how many people have/had the virus at this point. It is my opinion that this thing is going to run its course here. That being said, I agree with you that this thing is going to calm down within the next 4 weeks because: There is a very promising drug call Remdesivir that is going through trials right now by a company called Gilead Sciences. While the antiviral drug has not finished it's trial, the company believes that it will pass with flying colors and is mass producing it. Remdesivir stops the spread of the virus in the body. Originally It was used to slow Ebola. It will be a game changer once it is released. That coupled with the new tests that are also waiting for FDA approval (expedited) that are blood tests, that can confirm in minutes instead of days will be huge. There is hope around the corner.

I can’t think of a better time to reveal/introduce your new pinball machine! With all of these cancellations (pervasive - not just sports, music, etc) - many more eyeballs available to grab their attention while people are home, working remotely - not traveling. Quite frankly folks will be looking to get their minds off of this virus and will look for an outlet to run to. This is the time!
    JJP - GnR?
    Stern - TMNT?
    P3 - new game?
    GO GO GO! ; )

So kind of reading between the lines. Do you think this would honestly be in any way a good move for the manufacturers Or something for us basement hobbyists to critique and complain about for the next month while we are captive? Tell them everything they did wrong and we would have done different. Completely the opposite thing I would do at this time in a competitive boutique market. The code suggestion however Would be genius. Email blasts saying they understand the restrictions etc and have decided to double team code to support their customers while we wait for this to pass.

So...... back to those pinball reveals...

I’d like to see what’s coming next.

It would be cool to see what’s coming. I was bummed TPF cancelled. My son was super excited to see Hotwheels. He like DP and GB, but he is a hotwheels kid through and through.

Sounds like a huge JJP Pirates code update is coming, and or was planned to be announced at TPF.

JJP need to start making POTC again, even if they have to charge a little more for it, should still come in cheaper than the secondary market, demand is there!

Big shows are screwed for awhile.

Locations aren't. Get the new games on location now for exposure.

    Keep the assembly lines running.

nah nothing to do with basement hobbyists. For the reasons I mentioned plus many others, it's not the time to put your head in the sand. Market is there - get the message out with as many ears to hear it. Code as well.

Anybody interested in buying an old used microwave for cheap?

    Quoted from CrazyLevi:

I’m SO SICK of people using “the media” as a punching bag when they are among the few who have been doing their jobs during this crisis.
The media are absolute heroes in all this - we’ve gotten nothing but lies and incompetence from the people in charge, and the without the media the virus would still be “a hoax” officially.
This isn’t the media’s fault, and without the media we’d be completely screwed. We can thank the media for the changes in public policy, which of course have come way too late.
The media fucking rules. People should be a little more appreciative for what they’ve done for us over the past several months.
As far as the rest of your stuff delt - yeah, I agree. We could all use some good news and happy thoughts. That doesn’t mean we need to pretend everything is normal; that’s just not an appropriate or responsible response.
Launching a pinball machine right now would be disastrous on so many levels. I know
Deep Root is in huge trouble the longer they delay, but I simply cannot imagine they are gonna do their launch in two weeks.

    Wow!

Definitely a great start for some standup material...!

I assume, you're in NYC. Definitely a different environment this past week or so, and still a different environment than the rest of the country. Sure, there's a bit of a frenzy, much of it induced and encouraged by the media. Some of it possibly safely minded, some of it abusive and money grubbing by the heroic media.

But umm....no matter how anyone here feels. there's a shit ton of us working in this country still, and yanno.....the blood suckery, divisive encouraging crap that comes from media on ALL sides, is surely something I'd love to see take a break. Let all these jokester heroes take a load off for a few weeks, years, and allow the other workers in this country some peace and sanity.

You're a strong voice on this forum, that is for sure Levi. Often I don't agree with you, just as often I do. You have your own slice of life, as well as pinball experience and knowledge that I often find value in. This hot take though....definitely feels a bit claustrophobic and centralized to the hotbed and frenzy you're certainly surrounded by presently.

Keep on keepin' on either way, and stay away from the wacko TP Hoarders....saw via the media, those fuckers like to fight...ding ding ding!!!

    Quoted from iceman44:

Here is some other great news for you, the one thing the FAKE NEWS media can't do is actually make up and lie about the number of deaths.
51 in the US out of 2340 reported cases thus far. 37 come from the State of Washington, 19 from the nursing home. FACTS, FACTS, FACTS
80-85% of people that contract the virus don't need any medical attention and get over it. FACTS, FACTS
My parents are 81, they need to be concerned and i am for them. FACT
Meanwhile, stoking fear and panic and running around like a chicken with his head cut off is nuts.

I think I’ve asked you this before. What are your top 5 fake media sources?

    #71 4 years ago

It'll probably take one of Ice's close friends or relatives getting really sick from this shit for him to realize what's really going on here.

I've got a 98 year old mother in a senior care facility, and anything they can do to keep what happened in Washington from happening here are steps that should be taken IMO.

    #72 4 years ago
    Quoted from BMore-Pinball:

    It's all perspective isn't it.
    Yours is just 1

I’d like to know why you downvoted me when I see you agreed with most of the posts saying that now’s not the time to sell. You even just said the latest pin, Hot Wheels is a bust. So it seems as if maybe it was an accident? Lol.
And people ARE canceling their new pin orders, just call up the distros. Now we’re seeing a panic sell off in the used market.

    Just give it some time.

Media can be the problem at times
I was watching pbs in garage tv with antenna only.PBS news hour interveiw with vaulted Harvard medical professor
Anchor ask why do you think the nba ncaa and mlb have cancelled games and he replies because the Trump administration didn’t have enough test kits in place.
And of course there was no follow up question wow just unbelievable

    #74 4 years ago

Forget who's telling the story, but is this fake news or the media being the problem?

Nobody saying that reporting the news is fake it’s how the commentary about the actual facts are slanted for their political viewpoints

Sure the number of deaths has been relatively low so far, but when we put money first and stop caring about the elderly is when we deserve to get the same treatment when we get older.

I will add, the world we live in now would be very different if it wasn't for the sacrifices their generation made.

Pretty solid and lengthy discussion on things. A very valid point being the amount of funding budget wise on military versus healthcare. Certainly streaming money differently is a massive issue in this or any public health situation.

    #89 4 years ago

Seriously, how can there be so many stupid people in this world ?

I guess that’s why the same politicians control them year after year

It’s amazing how the middle class want to go backwards to a time that didn’t work and was terrible for them

Lowest unemployment rate in history and rising wages across EVERY measure possible

The media wants the power and control along with the politicians and it will always be that way because of the down right stupidity of most

There continues to be a large % of the dumbasses that want to keep F ing themselves!

    Quoted from CrazyLevi:

Wow. Can anyone really be this daft?

The Media are whores. Plain and simple.
They are only interested in grabbing and holding attention. Full Stop.

They have an agenda and that agenda does not include you as anything but a tool for their preferred ends.

    #94 4 years ago

I'm glad we cleared that up. So all media, you say? Hmm. You know, your right. Lump them all together, including the ones you follow. I'll go with that... they are all evil and all have an agenda that doesn't include me. We have found common ground. So where should we get our news then, from our clergy, or our teachers, or our government, or where do we find this mythical unbiased news source, because I need to know. Everyone needs to know, and don't say social media, because that's still the evil media, has an agenda that uses you and me but doesn't include you and me. Great pep talk, thanks.

    #95 4 years ago

You can garner information from ALL sources, but you should not put your Trust in any one of them.

Listen to them all, read them all, be as informed as you possibly can and then make your own decisions. Don't rely on any one segment of the Media to do that for you. You are as much a product as you are a viewer. Know that.

    #96 4 years ago
    Quoted from LTG:

Big shows are screwed for awhile.

    LTG : )

This might work for the USA but here in Belgium all my locations are closed until at least April 3rd
And from what I'm seeing/hearing it probably will be a few weeks longer than that.

Bars, pubs, restaurants, bowling alleys, movie theatres, gyms, basically everything besides super markets and take aways are closed in the weekend.
Regular stores can only be open in the week like clothing, supplies,...

It's a crazy situation for sure without any earnings too!!

    #97 4 years ago
    Quoted from CrazyLevi:

The latest in a long line of horrible ideas.
Now is the worst time to do anything. Nobody gives a shit about the next pinball machine right now. A full on happy talk sales campaign for a fucking toy with turtles on it would be offensive, obnoxious, and it would flop. Sales - and optics -at this time would be a disaster.
Not to mention supply chains are fucked right now and it’s only getting worse. Why announce a game you won’t be able to provide?
WAKE UP. Seriously. Pinball production lines will likely be ordered closed within a week or two and you are fantasizing about this nonsense?!

How’re things in NY Levi? Up here in NH we’ve always been spaced apart and independent, so it’s just more of the same here for the time being...

Hoping you folks are hanging tight!

    #98 4 years ago
    Quoted from iceman44:

The "supply chains" are back to work in China. While Apple closed its doors like all the other penguins jumping into the water until March 27th, 100% or ALL of its China stores are OPEN FOR BUSINESS.
I think you need to stock up on some extra toilet paper Levi, lots of BS coming out brother!!!

Sorry man but far from it. Don’t forget the Chinese media is state controlled. I have a number of people who work for me in China they are all locked down - China is suffering much worse than they are reporting.

    #100 4 years ago

Virus vector here! I like to play pinball and also would not like to kill your loved ones. There's a poorly-maintained pinball (Nascar) available to play locally, in the worst bar in town, and it kinda sucks, but other things are happening, so no worries!

I'm poor, due to bad life choices. I've got internet though, and I am not posting this message from a cellular telephone in a random restaurant.

I'm a potential consumer of paid games on a pinball machine! Please advise and ask me anything.
