I totally want to do this. Seriously. Jelly.

Quoted from hoby1:

CGC AFM classic is 5995.. Why build one.

Because; don't you like to build things?
Just because you can buy a 1960s mustang... would you get more enjoyment out of restoring it yourself?
That said; given he's building his own cabinet... and his own PF ... it seems unlikely his bom cost is going to be anywhere near the 6k pricetag you quoted.

If you are doing new code... and using a P3Roc;
Why not make AFM-re-remake and put in so it runs on the P3?
That'd be my dream... I'd even help create the upper PF module. :O

Quoted from WizardPinball:

I love the idea of a re-remake though!

Just share the CAD file (and art) with me when you're done... I can use the upper part of the CAD to create a PF module for P3.

Quoted from dudah:

Fusion360, they will be greatly limiting the features of it for free users in less than a month.

Which is why I never bought into Autodesk (or is it Adobe?) buying all these properties. Whoever it is; made sounding like buying EagleCad would be great for the longterm health of that product. As far as I can tell; they made it much worse... so I'm staying on the old license I have.

I refuse to pay a monthly "fee" to use software in a subscription model... the only exception might be the os... and even then; I might have to move to linux if that happened.
