Love AFM

But I have to say that green trim isn't a great look. Doesn't match the cab art at all.

This looks nice....

Do they have prices? Oops, didn't read to the bottom!

Wide LCDs? Interesting.

I'm looking forward to seeing it at TPF!

I'll hold out for Monster Bash...

Yes, all three models will be on hand to play and see at the Texas Pinball Festival next week.

MBR ain't happening!
You got to suck it up and pay top dollar for an original.

Interesting. Glad you guys are selling these. Can't wait to see in person.

Im kinda shocked they don't have some of the mods available on the market on the normal game. (Bill Ung; Cliffy; 3D translite, Glow in the dark rubber, clear target) Those mods are off the charts.

#13 7 years ago

I'm guessing-

$8,999 classic
$10,999 SE
$14,999 LE

Games look nice, the green trim is a swing and a miss though. They need to switch that over to a gloss black.

I'm interested in a classic but if those prices are anywhere close I'm out.

I thought the same thing, as I was reading through I expected to see them listed under the LE, oh well least I can add them to a classic depending on price once announced.

#16 7 years ago

Man- I was thinking about buying a TOTAN - but I'm guessing I can get this brand new for less......drool.....

#17 7 years ago

Must concur about the green trim - hideous. Do like the extra wide/large LCD...

Take 2000 off those and I'll be in

#19 7 years ago

Lol @ wide display.

Well they were creative at least I'll give em that.

But I have to say that green trim is as unappealing as mustard 'gold'
AFM looks good in black.

Must concur. Black is the way to go for AFM.

Here's one I prepared earlier.

Lime green... whoever made that decision should be fired... TODAY... yesterday!

#22 7 years ago

#23 7 years ago

I will admit that I was wrong. I figured after MM it would be too similar and I expected MB.

#24 7 years ago

If I didn't already have one, I'd only be in for a classic edition. Not a fan of the bigger screen or speaker lights or green trim.

And I can't believe they didn't throw in a 3D translite on the LE...

#26 7 years ago

The green trim is ugly.

I wish they offered some more mods like Bill Ung's mod or the lit martian eyes. Are the insert LEDs the same as MMR? I prefer color matched inserts over mimicking incandescent bulbs.

#27 7 years ago

Whoever doesn't like they're green one I'll reluctantly take it off your hands for a few thousand less of course

Monster Mash remake ain't happening.

Interested in the prices.......variable warrantee however depending on model is not cool IMHO

#30 7 years ago

Not digging the green on the LEs, but I'm happy that more AFMs will be out in the wild. I have an original which I'll be sticking with, but anybody getting one of these will be getting one heck of a game.

Monster Mash remake ain't happening.

Why?

#32 7 years ago

Ah we can all move along now

NEXT!

#33 7 years ago

this entire announcement is useless without prices and unless the standard is 6500 or less then it is silly IMO.

#34 7 years ago
Quoted from JoshODBrown:

Is Stern assembling these games?

According to a certain podcast from an individual who shall not be named, the games are being produced in-house this time.

#35 7 years ago

More than happy with my original but am curious to see the topper in action.

Think they should offer black or green trim for the LE.

Suspect more black would be purchased.

#36 7 years ago

I would say because of too much licensing.

Green Trim - "It's Hideous!" (woman gasps)

#38 7 years ago
Quoted from ToucanF16:

I would say because of too much licensing.

It has been discussed with the consensus that the licensing would not be that cost prohibited.

#39 7 years ago
Quoted from JoshODBrown:

Is Stern assembling these games?

With the exception of a few remaining MMr's to be finished out at Stern Pinball. All games will now
be built in house at Chicago Gaming.

No license could be cheaper than the 70 year old Universal Monsters.

Even .99 cent Kleenex boxes are made with them.

#41 7 years ago

I'm not sure about that green trim but the special edition may be the way to go. We can do our own powdercoating and I'm not a huge fan of mirror blades either, I prefer decals.

Either -

KINGPIN
BBB

Place your bets

#43 7 years ago

If they would ever make king pin or Big Bang bar they would have my order

#44 7 years ago

BBB or MBr. Would be my bet.

#45 7 years ago

at 6k, im in for a classic. at a 6100, i'm out.

#46 7 years ago
Quoted from maddog14:

So $6,099.99 is good?

#47 7 years ago

Who's producing the playfields ?

#48 7 years ago

As said earlier; colossal pooch screw on green trim.

They mention multicolored ship lights but don't mention if the mini ships pattern change like the bill ung kit for the original. This game would be a nonstarter in my book without something similiar to bill's kit. It is that good.

#49 7 years ago

Can't figure out why all the mystery on pricing...just post it already!

#50 7 years ago
Quoted from o-din:

$8,999 classic
$10,999 SE
$14,999 LE

lol, no. If they honestly thought 9k was a good starting price then they would be crazy. Even 7k is too high for a classic IMO.
