Quoted from whthrs166:

Cliffy has a complete kit that offers total protection for SOL Mother ship targets and lock. Think he also has a drain hole gard as well

My LE is arriving on thursday.Super excited
Just a question:Isn't there already installed some protectors from CGC ?
Thought i read that somewhere

#1479 6 years ago

My LE will be delivered on friday. So exited
Are there any protection already installed on the playfield or do i need to get a full cliffy set ?

Quoted from chrisnack:

Let me know how it goes, mine is a bit off as well, curious how much a pain it is, so i haven't bothered to even mess with it yet

I'll try later today after work. Will let you know. Not the biggest issue but curious if there are any room for adjustements

Quoted from LTG:Four screws hold him from the bottom of the topper base. You could try loosening his whole bracket assembly and turning a little.
LTG : )

I only see 4 screws on the braket behind him + the 3 that secure him to the topper. Are there any other screws i should look at ?
Can't see how loosening the 4 on the bracket would help but i'll try

#1606 6 years ago
Quoted from LTG:

You need to remove the topper to see the four on the bottom holding the whole assembly.

LTG : )

Thanks for the info LTG
Good to have you here on the forum

Installing plastic protectors on my AFM LE but one of the holes for the nuts is smaller than the other hole.Do i have to make it a bit bigger so that the nut goes through ?
This is my first time putting plastic protectors on a game so i didn't expect i had to modify it.
If i don't do it,the plastic will not be even with the protector.

Quoted from ecmurrayf1:

Remove the nut and attach the plastics together and then install them on the game. It aligns them and hold both together. Hope that helps. Not sure on the other piece as the holes don’t seem to line up, but haven’t tried it yet.

Thanks
Now if i just could figure out where the small protector goes.Have looked everywhere but can't figure it out
Looks like i also have to get a longer screw because of the protector. Doesen't reach down to the wood

Just recieved the V2 chip today and it's now installed but the screen still shows V1.
Anyone have any input on this ?

#3370 6 years ago
Quoted from pintechev:

Correct. The PIC version isn’t displayed anywhere (except on the chip label). But if you turn the flipper strength down, it will actually feel weaker, which is how you know it’s working.

Ok.Thanks for the info

Anyone have a pic of the drain cliffy installed ?

#4026 6 years ago
Quoted from Onwallst:

Glad to hear. Interesting no one is posting that they have had zero issues. I have more new in the box games with zero adjustments and problems than I have had games with issues. Playing perfect right out of the box is high quality control.

Mine played perfect right out of the box.No adjustments,no airballs, playfield and colors looks great, only needed to get a new set of slingshot plastics.LE 214.

So is there like a well known Pinsider who always gets the 1000/1000 serial number of an LE game? Seeing games in the 900's so I'm curiuous who will get the final one. Also good to see more people going with the red titans...good taste.

Do you have a link for a red titans kit ?

#4548 6 years ago

Thanks for the link .Can anyone confirm that this kit is accurate ?
Seems like every kit i buy,the manual is wrong regarding numbers and types of rubber

Quoted from abagwell:

Excellent post, I had my outlanes at default to start and it was so brutal, and any AFMs I play on location are the same way, constant side drains. I really wasn't enjoying it much at all...I bumped them down and I love the game now. I still have tough games but balls aren't just vortexed into the side drains and I am looooving it now. Those difficulty changes are there to bring in more money on routing the games I feel like.

Could you post a couple of pics. on how this is done regarding the outlanes ?

#5072 5 years ago
Quoted from LTG:

The post is in a slot cut in the playfield. Under the playfield is a locknut and washer. Loosen the locknut, slide post towards front of game. Retighten the locknut. Done. Now the hole the balls goes to the outlane in is smaller.
I've attached one of Damgiao's pictures with a red arrow pointing to the slot you move the post back and forth in.

Thanks LTG

Quoted from Damagio:

BentleyBear, it really is easy, and it makes a HUGE difference. I would say it took me less than 2 minutes. It's just like LTG described above. Literally loosen, slide, tighten. on both outlanes. I will post a pic from the underside when I get home later. You won't be disappointed if you try this.

Looking forward to trying this out. This game is brutal but a lot fun .The best score i have so far is only 29100000 so i'm curious to see how the machine playes after this.

Quoted from Mr_Tantrum:

So, after evaluating everything, I'm offering my interactive illuminated flipper mod kit for $50 including US shipping. I will want a minimum of 5 commitments before I'm willing to take orders (I have to buy many of the items in bulk to make the kit). After the initial 5, I will need commitments in increments of 5 to fulfill subsequent orders. Please reply to this post if you are in, and if we hit at least 5 by the end of the weekend then payment will be required and I'll begin production.
Kit will include everything you need to illuminate both flipper buttons and will interact with the speaker lights:
- Power splitter to tap into speaker lighting
- Cabling from the backbox to the cabinet
- Splitter in cabinet to left & right extension cables
- 2x Extension cables
- 2x Interface to LED strips
- 2x LED strips (3 SMD each)
- 2x 3D printed LED strip adhesive mounts
- 2x Transparent flipper buttons with springs
I will also create step-by-step directions for installation. There will be no modification of the pin or its wiring required.[quoted image]

Set me up for 1.
