Quoted from spazzman90:

If they are just finishing up the SEs I thought he said that they were going to take 3-4 weeks to do 250 MM while basically building 1000 toppers. I think LE production is still few weeks out.

That was the older update.
The latest stated LE's would be done before next MM run.

Quoted from abagwell:

Only reached out to my vendor about 2 weeks ago to ask about the AFMr, got my deposit in for the LE shortly after. Sounds like I'll be one of the last to the party in terms of receiving it, can't wait.

Congrats on your purchase.
It will be worth the wait.

Quoted from Tlamb:

Loving my AFMR!!

Nice photos.
Laughing at the "Say To drugs"

Quoted from venom112:

If you end up ordering an LE and want to sell the topper PM me I will buy it from you

I was just going to say.
I bet that topper is already sold.
Lol

Quoted from Higloss67:

I have an SE and personally don't see that it would make a huge difference. The lighting and sound package is already awesome. I think some places still have SE's in stock.

As tempting as an SE is now, we are staying the course on the LE.

Quoted from Pin_Guy:

My AFMr is Broken!!!!
I noticed last night that my right flipper seemed "spongy" balls would just die on it rather than bouncing off. I wonder if I should open a customer support ticket?
What's wrong with this picture?

So I looked through my spare parts bins for flipper return springs and found ... none; I'm sure I have these lying around someplace, but I also know I wont find them until I buy more; since I couldn't find them, I just turned one of the springs loops into a new hook and reattached it to the crank.

I was going to say, jut bend a new loop in the spring and you are good to go.
Glad you got it going.

Quoted from Join_The_Cirqus:

Game is amazing!!!!!
Glad To be an Enabler

Awesome.
Who needs an entire doorway anyway. Right?

#243 6 years ago
Quoted from Zennmaster:

That is one seriously impressive row!

No kidding.
And the row behind AFMr looks to be
TWD
GB
GOT
Metallica
Tron
and maybe ToTan. Can't quite make it out.

#246 6 years ago
Quoted from bigdaddy07:

If you see the 30 games he has (assuming his list is accurate), the value is that of most peoples houses. Certainly quite an investment sitting there and of course an impressive collection. I would have to make sure we were buddies if he lived close by.

Yea. He does not list ToTAN in his list so I am trying to guess what might have yellow power coat.
Ripleys maybe.

Quoted from bigd1979:

Never heard any complaints on 1.13 and mine plays perfect. Cant believe dirty pool isnt even in there. Plus its lots of bug fixes missing. O well another reason to keep what i have i guess. Im guessing its the same thing with mm also and all remakes from here on out .

Sad to hear they can't release it.
Love to hear the Dirty Pool quote even if it is hard to get.
I do hate it when simple things can't happen for stupid reasons.

#436 6 years ago
Quoted from LTG:

I'm sorry, I did make a mistake.
AFMR has 1.1 for the Williams software, not 1.0
I confused it with MMR.
LTG : )

Thanks for the clarification.

#556 6 years ago
Quoted from Dust2000:

Where did you play them mate?

Neil was at Pinburgh with me.
They had one there, so that would be my guess.
I have played 4 different models and did not notice any Flipper lag.

#664 6 years ago
Quoted from Pin_Guy:

Sorry, I'm not trying to be argumentative but I have to disagree. It is no more or less difficult to hit the martian with the flippers aligned to the ball guides, and of course everyone should align the flippers the way they see fit.

I agree 100% and after aligning the flippers to be in a straight line with the ball guide, the flipper alignment holes are now exactly at the back edge of the flippers instead of being under them.

Agree.
I can't stand droopy flippers.
Ghostbusters came set with crazy low droopy flippers. When put back to normal it was no more difficult to hit the shots at all. All it does is make it harder to trap up.

#698 6 years ago
Quoted from Damien:

And after posting that, I was itching for game, so went and played one quickie.
What a game! 21mil, beat Mars, and only needed Martian Attack to finish (which I missed by one shot earlier).
Sooooooo sooooooo close! Is it like Medieval Madness where after completing all tasks you start Battle for the Kingdom, or do you RTU once you do all objectives?

Pretty sure you can get 21 Million with only one shot.

#883 6 years ago
Quoted from Damien:

I'm not noticing any flipper delay.

Because you should not.
The guy had to admit in the thread that he messed up the original test.
Turns out the Bally/Williams games have the exact same flipper variance that the remakes have.
Play on with confidence or fall to the placebo effect.

And on a more serious note, could somebody circle the part they think the ball may be hitting coming out of the shooter lane?
I don't notice anything wrong in the photo.

Just talked with Doug From CGC today at IAAPA.
We asked if they planned on doing an original theme someday.
He said it is already on the whiteboard
This company is on a roll!!!!

#1176 6 years ago

Got my final payment request from Game Exchange yesterday. Out of town of course so can’t get check till weekend.
Very excited though.

#1254 6 years ago

Got the email from Game Exchange that our LE has shipped.
Oddly enough, unlike everyone else that is getting them by FedEx, ours is shipped SAIA.
Probably because it is business to business I would guess.
We get all our games shippped to our business and just load the box in our truck.
Can't get here fast enough.

#1320 6 years ago
Quoted from iceman44:

LE delivery tomorrow. Finally!

Ours should have been delivered days ago.
Been sitting in Amarillo and Dallas for ever.
SAIA is the slowest trucking company I have seen.

#1332 6 years ago
Quoted from iceman44:

That sucks! Well I’m waiting on R&L right now. Last one they delivered had a pallet jack hole straight through the box and bottom of the pin. Knock on wood!
How the heck did it have to go through Amarillo?

Good question, but here is my tracking info so far.

#1340 6 years ago

Game finally arrived in town this morning.
#445 is in the back of our truck as I type
Can’t unbox till 8:00 tonight though.

#1346 6 years ago

What Flipper strength are most using?
I remember reading that most are to strong out of the gate.

#1351 6 years ago

We will be doing a live unboxing on our Twitch channel soon. Probably about 20 or 30 min from now.

Quoted from Damien:

I'm currently at -8. Had better scores at -4, but also had more airballs. Even at -8 the ball still jumps sometimes when I hit the green targets in front of the ship.

Thanks.
Going to have to open a support ticket.
If you watch our live unboxing video you will notice that we did not get green legs for our game.
Also no manual either.
Other then that the game was well packed and in great shape.

Here is a photo of the game set up. Can't see the legs though, but they are chrome color.

#1366 6 years ago
Quoted from bemmett:

How do you adjust the flipper strength? I'm not seeing it

Hold down the green button until the CGC menu shows up.
Then press the green button a couple of times until you get to the screen with Flipper Strength.
Press the black button once to activate then use the red buttons to raise and lower.
When done just keep pressing the green button until it exits.

#1371 6 years ago

We settled on the -8 for our flippers.
Plays great and plenty of room to bump them up as needed

#1392 6 years ago

If a shot is going to get rejected on our game it is the Lock shot, not the left orbit.
But even they are fairly rare.

#1431 6 years ago
Quoted from iceman44:

Got it set up today.
What a blast of a pinball experience! The LCD, topper and light show amongst the overall greatness of the game. Wow.

Congrats on getting your game.
We are enjoying ours every day now.
We just did a live stream tonight with 2 hours of game play on our Twitch channel.
For anyone who has not received theirs yet and wants a taste of what is to come, here you go.

Quoted from abetterway:

I just got my shipping notice. Mine will be here tomorrow. So excited!

You should be.
It is as god as everyone is saying.
As long as CGC is making games that I don't already own in minty condition I will be interested.
And if the game has this huge upgraded graphics screen, I may even be tempted.

#1504 6 years ago
Quoted from andrewket:

#589 arrived today after a 3 day shipping delay. Yesterday they called early afternoon to say “it didn’t fit in the truck. Would Saturday be OK?” Two days off of work... oh well. I’m sure it will be worth it.
Waiting for a friend to come by to help get her inside.

Congrats.
Guessing you cut the topper off the box already.

#1556 6 years ago
Quoted from monte_:

Has anyone had a problem with the lockdown bar moving on the game? With it locked down, the bar is moving forward and backward a little on the left side. Any suggestions?

Make sure the latch handle is pushed all the way to the right.
Also sometimes if the glass slides down a bit before you get the bar in place it will do that as well.

#1601 6 years ago
Quoted from rockrand:

Any ideas for mods,I was thinking star post LEDs.I quess it is so perfect that owners never thought much about it,,of corse back in 1995 mods were just not around

Agree with snaroff. This game has enough bling already.
Only thing we added was a piece of invisiglass.
I guess I might consider the 3D translite someday.

Thought for sure CGC had made an announcement or released new Software.
Only to find meaningless topper talk.

Quoted from Vyzer2:

I had this exact same issue. Look under the playfield by the mother ship. There is a switch that has two tiny screws. On mine they were very lose and the switch was not making contact. Tighten them but not too tight. In this pic, the screws are in the center, tighten from underneath.
Here is a pic:

Nice photo, but how is that bracket even staying in place with no wood screws in the other two holes?
Makes it look like it is just glued on which I know can’t be the case. Lol.

#3024 6 years ago
Quoted from Newbie979:

Forgot the main thing it starting doing after the pic. When I start a game the ball don’t get put in the launch lane. It’s takes like 3 min for the ball to get out in launch lane and then launched. Never happened before this pic 2.0. The machine starts setting off everything like a ball is stuck in the playfield and finally it throws a ball in lane so I can launch. Frustrating!

That is indeed an issue.
open a support ticket for sure with this issue.

#3027 6 years ago
Quoted from LTG:

Keeps kicking trying to get it out ? If so turn it stronger in the CGC menu.
LTG : )

Also makes me think you may have a foreign object in your ball trough or a mis-adjusted switch.
Should not think balls are missing if all the switches are activated properly.
Of course Loyd is the expert so certainly try what he says first.
Hope you get it going again soon.

#3036 6 years ago

Got my chip in the mail yesterday from Game Exchange.
I posted this in the CGG update thread already but since this thread get more use now I will re post.

Install went well but the rubber band used to hold the chip in the holder busted in shipping so some of the pins on the chip were a bit mangled.
Straightened them with a needle nose and installed it.
Seems to be working great so far.
Set flipper level to -4 like most have suggested and it plays like a dream now. No more airballs all over the place.

2 weeks later
#3876 6 years ago

I understand the frustration if you got a wrong color playfield.
That would not set correctly with me either.

That said our game is in perfect shape and has played great since day one. Did not even have the ball shooting around Super Skill shot issue.
In fact the only issue we had with the game was that they packed in the wrong color legs with it. We got Silver legs with our green game.
However after opening a ticket, our green power coated legs were in the mail the next day.
Very happy with this game and cant wait to see Monster Bash.

Maybe Doug can bring some key fobs to TPF and pass them out at the show.

Sad message indeed.
Really wanted to see and maybe even play this game.

Any news on Doug leaving CGC and going to Stern?

#5236 5 years ago
Quoted from LTG:

A thread on Pinside, Pinball News, and TWIP
LTG : )

Thanks. Read TWIPs last post and it has no info at all other then it may happen.
Looks like pinball news and Pinside for the win.
Now we just need CGC's response.

Finally had it with the droopy factory set flippers. We did like Josh Sharpe did and raised each one a touch so it is now even with the lane guide and now looks like every other pinball.
So much easier to trap up now and all the shots are still makeable.
Just about 1/8 of an inch or two was all it took.
Still can't figure out why the sent the games out the door like that.
Loving it.

#5275 5 years ago
Quoted from pinballinreno:

On AFM the flippers are set to droop a little so they are not inline with the lane guides.
One can if they wish, align the flippers with the lane guides and eliminate the slight droop.
Some people have a hard time adjusting to the angle of the flippers, so they straighten them.
This in turn could make the game play similar to other games. Maybe a little easier.
Personally I like the factory setup it makes for a challenging game and it's easier to hit the side Martian targets.
Leaving the flippers on the factory setting makes the game play like an AFM other than something else.
I like it that way.
But really, to each his own...

I have played a lot of Bally AFM's. None had droopy flippers. (now I will admit that all of them by now have had many flipper replacements by now so none are factory anymore). But I feel relatively safe saying that Bally did not send games out the door with droopy flippers on purpose.
I also have no problems hitting the side martians at all.
But I do agree that if you like the droop style. Leave it.

#5276 5 years ago
Quoted from Eskaybee:

Curious, can you elaborate a little? What adjustment are you talking about and what did it fix?

You can loosen the nut under the flipper that holds the flipper shaft. This will allow you to raise/turn the flipper up about 1/8" higher then the workers at CGC decided to ship the game out at.
I have been restoring and playing pinball for over 30 years, so the droopy style really bothers me.
It just makes all my shots be off enough to piss me off. lol

#5278 5 years ago
Quoted from pinballinreno:

I have too but the factory setup is a slight droop.
I think during maintenance they get adjusted improperly over 23 years in a lot of cases.

Funny. I just edited my post while you were typing that. lol
But I do not agree that it is improper.
I have owned tons of Bally Williams games, even one brand new in the box and it did not have this issue.

Quoted from PolePosition:

Does the saucer rub against the Eat at Eddy's building mod when the saucer shakes? I'm interested, just wouldn't want the two smacking against each other.

Nope.
Building fits perfectly, looks fantastic and no rubbing on the saucer.
I got lucky running the wire but I can see where t could be a pain to run if you keep getting a bad feed.
