Just got my AFMLe from PinballSTAR delivered today. Absolutely spectacular pinball!! The lighting effects are amazing! Quality is top notch. Couldn't be happier! If you are on the fence and can still get one, don't hesitate! You will NOT regret it!
Got the call from my vendor today, they are getting one allocated in the first shipment on Monday and I'm first in line. Possible delivery before Tuesday.
Got the email from Game Exchange that our LE has shipped.
Oddly enough, unlike everyone else that is getting them by FedEx, ours is shipped SAIA.
Probably because it is business to business I would guess.
We get all our games shippped to our business and just load the box in our truck.
Can't get here fast enough.
The topper on the LE is unbelievable! If it were sold by an aftermarket vendor, I wouldn't be surprised to see it sell for $600 just by itself. Well done on design and implementation!

A few months ago, someone put up one for sale on eBay for $1,000.... I think that was mentioned here in our forum, I have no idea what happened at the end with that auction
Quoted from joesaid:Where would a Finland resident buy a AFMr?
try pinball heaven www.pinball.co.uk
or ministry of pinball in holland.
Quoted from MK6PIN:Any clue where this piece came from? Found it under my right martian on the playfield.....can't seem to find it's home.....thanks...mark
a better pic:
Top of right ramp i believe....where it screws into wireform.. not sure how ot wld come out unless the screws also came out..

Quoted from iceman44:Anybody using/liking the Pingraffix blade skinz?
So nobody has purchased these?

Quoted from whthrs166:Now you have a spare!

Better pics: A Thanksgiving mystery....
Still pretty sure it goes on the right ramp....i dont think its a huge deal but it is there for some reason.

I agree, as it "appeared" in front of the right martian...just cant see where it came from....you can see in my last pic there's a similar metal piece, but has 2 pointy edges, and already screwed in place. hmmm...
bigd1979, That is different than the piece in mine. Mine looks like MK6PIN's pic. LE here, wonder if that is the difference or if they changed design?
Quoted from DavidMP:bigd1979, That is different than the piece in mine. Mine looks like MK6PIN's pic.
How did it get out w the screws in it.....dammit....gonna pull the glass.......
Quoted from MK6PIN:Ok...pic one...glass removed, both screws tight. Spacing on my " mystery metal" is the same
Yes, your pic is exactly like mine without the missing piece. I think you just got an extra that was used in some games.
Edit: nevermind. I see it now. Better.
Moral of this Thanksgiving mystery....that piece was NEVER installed, and apparently just floating around somewhere, probably under a plastic or something.....WOW!!!!
Guess the intent is make a smooth transition from the plastic to the wireform. My scores will surely rise now....

Well, its in mine now.....crazy stuff..

Well LE already has mirrored sides.
I THINK I’m going to order the pinbladez, the mirrored ones that are cut out. I don’t like the lighted ones. Not sure though as I have an LE with mirror already.

The mirrored blades already on the LE look great.....haven't explored many mods for this one yet, except interactive undercab lighting w green underglow....Chris's kit works great on this title!!!

Didn’t realize that. Getting my LE tomorrow. Thx!

+1000 Doug...I've already started celebrating for you!!!!.....

My buddy had an original AFM and the ball got hung up there some times. He searched and searched for a fix and eventually found that there's supposed to be a little metal wedge to assist the ball in making the transition from the ramp, onward.
You got it right!
Quoted from MK6PIN:Any clue where this piece came from? Found it under my right martian on the playfield.....can't seem to find it's home.....thanks...mark
a better pic:
It goes under the top of the right ramp. I had to temporarily relocate the right ramp to get my SOL Cliffy installed.
The stock screws securing this piece to the ramp were way too short. I went to the hardware store, matched them up with longer screws, and re-installed the ‘mystery metal’.
Quoted from MK6PIN:Pic 2:
Mystery metal installed after removing the (2x) TIGHT screws, in between plastic and threaded metal base. Snugged the screws back
Crazy.... wonder how and where it was ....
Quoted from bigd1979:Crazy.... wonder how and where it was ....
That will remain a mystery, I guess....funny thing....I changed all the rubbers, added plastic protectors....been playing the crap out of it.....quite the mystery....thanks for the help guys....!!!!!
Quoted from iceman44:So nobody has purchased these?
I bought the power blades but It seems to be dead on arrival. It didnt ship with any instructions and the AFMr one is different than the the other Bally/Williams ones. The horseshoe connector is too wide for the powerbar slots and the PSU is may be defective. So I'm waiting until Pingraffix has a solution.

I just don’t think they look that great. I prefer the standard mirrors adding depth and reflecting the light show. Have bought rear board, trough leds and bumper ring leds. Still waiting on machine delivery and no image of exactly what I bought online. (Green left and right rear, blue trough. Red upper bumpers and white under bumpers.) will post when all together, hopefully before Christmas.
Hey Fellas. About to place an order for this beautiful game. Heard some talk about Cliffys because of some problem areas with the old machine. Does everyone recommend Cliffys for this remake?

The stroke of luck hole has a mantis type protector already installed.

Even with the stock Mantis protector, I managed to chip the right edge of the SOL hole...denting the Mantis protector. Small chip, <1/4” dia. I applied a layer of mylar over that edge of the playfield in hopes adding some cushion...

Congrats, and yes, absolutely get Cliffy's. Be sure to ask him for the new lock hole protector too. Tell him Damien sent you
