No.
The basically said that they are just doing one more run of MMr but nothing else.

CGC already did a second run of AFM back in 2020. I highly doubt that they will do a third run.
Anyone have any idea who may have an “Eat at Eddys “ mod for sale? No one seems to have one in stock.

I checked cointaker and they are also out of stock. You can contact mezel and see when they will make another batch. Mr. Tantrum also makes a similar building with custom words on top.

This came in my game from the original owner. I really like it.
Mr. Tantrum sells it right here on Pinside.

Thanks for the referral. Yes, I still make this mod and still customize the wording on the rooftop sign if desired.
Mezel Mods made/makes the original, but I wanted something that was more stylistic to the buildings on the backglass. Also, the green I used for the windows is fluorescent under UV light.

Never noticed it before.[quoted image]
Usually those random posts are to prevent air balls from getting trapped

Its for ball traps.
Ive seen people stick a spare Martian on it.
Quick question if those more familiar with this can please advise...
I have an AFM remake, bought it new just over a year ago, has been fantastic!
I just had a flipper coil go out and ordering a new one, but during my troubleshooting/confirmation that it was in fact the coil, not the EOS switch or something else, etc.
I was a bit surprised to find the voltage at the flippers (and I anticipate all coils in the game, to be so high. The schematics & info in the manual labels the PS to the coils as +50V
I am rating 72V on the left flipper and 77V on the right flipper
is this normal, no all the newer machines run that high and all CGC games that high?
does not appear to be anything t all wrong with the machine, but this was surprising
along with the fact that a coil would fail on a HOU machine that is just over a year old
thanks!

What was wrong with the coil? They rarely fail, its possible, but its rare. Diodes however, fail all the time.
What is its resistance?
The voltage of 70v is correct.
Quoted from mjmpin:I am rating 72V on the left flipper and 77V on the right flipper
Not under load, normal.
Quoted from pinballinreno:What was wrong with the coil? They rarely fail,
We'll see more of this in the future. Cheaper copper out there has changed things. Not on CGC games, but I had three new coils fail in use last year.
LTG : )
thanks!
yeah it was a bit odd, resistances tested correct, Power was 4.2 ohms, hold was 128 ohms. but it was hold that was not working. was concerned it was something other than coil, but EOS switch was fine & voltages coming from board were fine.
started by just chattering a bit when holding, then eventually would not hold at all, just power up & then down
Final test was to swap coils left to right and sure enough the failure followed the coil!
I would think these coils were much more resilient, since these are commercial machines, made to last under serious use, mine get played MAYBE? once a week
I've been on this thread since the start and this is the first time I can recall someone reporting your issue. Think you just got unlucky.
I'm honestly just happy its only the coil!
Was interesting to find that the two wires from the EOS switch go into the large play field PCB, one is ground, so I assume at end of stroke it grounds the other connection, but I could not successfully trace it back to the solonoid driver board, where it would have to go, I would think. On the older machines that I am more familiar with changing EOS switches and coils, it just bypasses or activates the hold coil right at the assembly, but this apparently doesn't work that way.
So I feared there could be a problem in one of the PCBs, but its just the coil, so all good
thanks!
Quoted from okgrak:Is anyone watching The Last of Us on HBO? Last night's episode had some AFM love in there. The only unrealistic part was that the machine booted after being turned off for 20+ years?
No dust on it.... all the bubs worked..

That was so cool to see, wish they would have played that vs MK II
Just got AFMre-LE this week, and watched that Last of Us episode the same night!
Question as a new owner: My settings screen shows 50041 Rev 1.1. Is that the latest firmware? I couldn’t find a numbered version of the latest CGC firmware online. (It shows 100.7 in the file name?)
I also noticed that a couple plastics had paint flaking off. Not much, and it looks like the playfield itself is flawless. CGC said I could order replacements from Planetary, which I’ll do. I wonder if there are any other components I should inspect before I submit my order. Any quick things I should inspect?

Is This in the CGC menu ? Page 1-10 in the manual.

Some of the plastic runs had bad paint and had crackling even on new games. Inspect all of your plastics closely before ordering. Additionally, upon my first reorder the replacements were just as bad as the originals. I had to send them back and talk to someone there to inspect the new set before they sent out another. In the end, they finally provided a good set and I was happy.
As far as other things, this game has been rock solid for me. I did end up replacing my SOL mech as there were scratches on the inside of it that were visually driving me crazy. I sanded them out pretty good and polished, but still wasn't happy. Therefore, I purchased a stainless steel version and it is performing quite well.
There are a few mods for this game, but since you didn't ask specifically I'll leave that discussion for another time.

I've got a couple of plastics on my AFMLE with hairline cracks I noticed. Where are you ordering replacements from? CG?

Just remembered, it is critical to see if your game has the Solenoid 2.0 chip or not. If so, you're good to go. If not, it may not cost you anything but you'll want to know the distributor where the pin was originally purchased. You may even need the original buyer to make the request for/with you to get it. Also, if you do not have the 2.0 chip DO NOT CHANGE ANY OF THE STRENGTH SETTINGS FOR THE FLIPPERS OR OTHER SOLENOIDS | https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/attack-from-mars-remake-afmr-owners-club/page/160#post-5376472

Thanks! I see a chip in the coinbox so I'm betting that that's the old one. I appreciate the follow-up!
I remember seeing a Big-O Beam mod a little while back. Looked like a 3D printed laser beam cannon thingy. Anyone remember who was making/selling those?
After 5 years of ownership, I decided to move the outlane posts down 1/3”. I thought it was time to give myself a break from the torture, and provide my guests a more fun experience.
Fast forward about 100 games, I finally got to Rule the Universe. Proud moment for sure, but nerve-wracking.
I hit about three super jackpots (among other things), but have no idea how many points were left to beat the game as you don’t want to look up at the DMD.
I ended up with almost 27 billion and 79 Martians destroyed. I’m looking forward to putting in more time, hopefully conquering this game once and for all.

You made it to Rule the Universe but then fell short? I have only made it 2 times.. first time i tilted out... ooof. Second time was a few weeks ago after a 2 year gap between them... Fun game.
My apologies if this has been covered, but is this still being made & what distributor(s) could one be ordered through?

Yes, made it to Rule the Universe, but fell short of 5,000,000,000 points needed to beat the game. I was on Ball 3, trying to shoot to start RTU and missed about 10 times in a row. I seriously thought the ball was going to drain before I could get to it.
Tilting out - I could only imagine what words were coming out of your mouth after that!
You’re right, it’s such a fun game. It’s fun, frustrating, and challenging. Can’t ask for a better pin.

Unfortunately they are not being made any longer.

Oh yeah.. remember it like yesterday.. Made the scoop shot to trigger RTU, then in my excitment to score the 5Bill i shook just a bit to hard.. wife called down to me to make sure i was ok.. LOL good times!!
Hi AFMr community,
I am a new (second) owner. Love the game! Question about the super skill shot. I think the top gate should open every time I hold the left flipper and plunge the ball. My game seems to do it intermittently/irregularly. Should it open every time? A few times test report says left gate not open. I did the T16 test, rolled ball right and left. Passed. Flipped with my finger. Then did not open next time. Then did open some. Spring is attached. Feels a little soft…or stretched?
Any thoughts are appreciated. Very minor problem and small in terms of whole game play.
Thanks!

Holding the left button while plunging at the start of a new ball should open the gate every time.
