Absolutely!

Looking forward to seeing them installed.

Well I finally did it RTU

Then I got all 6 blue lights again and into the scoop, but did not get called the wife down but machine just went into regular play mode.

Do you have to get x points in x time to rule?

Thanks in advance

Yes, 15 billion

Quoted from Zitt:

Hopefully Pinkitten will post some pictures and maybe give me permission to use them on the product page.

Here they are!

The chrome ships look fantastic! I went with 6 different colors for the flasher domes, but the 6 green ones look awesome too. I might switch to that look before long. These are pretty easy to install and look very classy. Great looking upgrade!

Pinkitten I assume since this is a AFMr thread; that you installed in a Remake not a classic - correct?

Correct, an AFMr classic edition.

Could you please post a photo with pin on from player's position of entire playfield, including the apron? I've trying to get an overall visual.

#9658 2 years ago

Thanks for answering I’m a bit confused 15billion just on the total anilation ball?

I had it again started anilation at about 14 billion got it up past 15 billion and still didn’t rule the universe. At least I know the first time I did it it was luck.

Sure, if you want others I’ll PM some also.

Sorry, I meant 5 billion.

You have to score 5 billion points during the multiball, then everything stops for the fanfare.

Can LE toppers be bought and place it on a SE and have same functionality? Thanks

#9662 2 years ago
Quoted from Medic:

Only from somebody selling theirs. You'd need the topper, small board, and cables for it in the bacbox.

I've only seen one sold here on Pinside. You'd really knock the value out of your game if you go to sell it without the topper.

You think CGC will ever sell AFM toppers since they already sell Royals?

Quoted from Medic:

The handful I've ever seen for sell were early on when the LE's were first being purchased. Typically it was only for one of two reasons: the pin was going in a gameroom with a low ceiling and wouldn't fit or the owner didn't like toppers for some reason or another.

What would you think a LE topper sell for?

#9666 2 years ago
Quoted from Medic:

No.

MMR toppers were done along with the big screen and speakers, and RGB GI kits, to keep their first customers able to make their games like AFMR and MBR. CGC cares about their customers.

Likely $1000 or more, if you could get one.

Who knows, whatever the highest bidder would be willing to pay. Probably at least an $800 to $1000 reserve.

Have you seen the GB topper prices? If they’re any indication, I’d think we’d all be in for a big surprise

12K with a free matching machine.

Heck with the machine, just sell us fancy toppers! They are much lighter and easier to move.

Yes, I did. It definitely has some weight to it. Nice plywood construction too.

I haven't heard of any. Make a list from the manual and order them. Most pinball parts suppliers have fuses.

What a super fun and awesome way to join the AFMr owner's club. Got my LE delivered this morning. Thanks so much STI. I appreciate you using forks directly under my game and treating it with such care. After I've done 70+ transactions with you in a year, thanks for taking great care of my special game. I'm not angry at all. I love the new look of the leg. It's fantastic.... I love paying $600 for such a well cared for delivery.............

On the upside it will be very easy to tilt/nudge!

#9683 2 years ago

Oh no. Hopefully everything else is ok. A leg can easily be replaced.

Anyone ever had any issues with their motor bank down switch? I got an alert a month or so ago and I fixed it by manually pressing a few times. Just got the alert again and wondering if I can get away with adjusting it or if I need to replace the switch entirely. I've got extra switches on hand but I've never soldered before...

#9688 2 years ago

Do this.

I can't understand why anyone would ever ship legs on. What drove that decision? I bought a LE in New Jersey and flew out there, broke it down and bullet proof packed it, I just can't see how even moving a pin more then 20 miles on it's legs is a good idea. Just breaking and the rough ride in the back of a semi is like having a jackhammer on it for every bump. I am just curious if shipping legs on is industry standard as I am a newbie to shipping.

A lot of people ship with the legs on.

Too lazy or dont have the means to palletize, or whatever reason.

To me, wrapped, blanketed and palletized is the best way to go.

Put signs that say "No forklift" etc, and put a tip and tell, and a drop and tell on the package.

They even have little pyramid boxes for Stack and tell, to keep from crushing due to stacking.

But still, the loaders and warehousers dont seem to care, as its always an insured loss.

Shipping always is risky but, legs on is the riskiest I think.

Buy an affordable soldering iron and a roll of soldering core and watch a couple YouTube vids on basic soldering. I was in the same situation, and was hesitant to solder my own pins. I practiced on some extra wire, just twisting two pieces together and then soldering them. After a few of those I felt pretty good about it. Soon I was soldering new optos and switches and other basic repairs. Later learned to reflow and other things. It’s fun once you learn it!

I'm definitely going to have to do this! I love working with electronics. I ended up taking the switch out but didn't see anything obviously wrong with it so put it back in and it's working again but we'll see how long that holds up this time.

Cool! That happens to me sometimes, simply reseating a connection can solve an issue. But once you practice soldering you’ll enjoy it. It’s satisfying to make a clean repair.

Yes it is if your intent is to solder your hands to the iron or remove your fingerprints.

Man, that sucks. Nothing like the excitement of a delivery completely ruined. Hope the game is okay otherwise.
This is how mine looked when it came off the truck. Heart sink moment. Got lucky though, it was just the dead space in the box above the head that got mashed a bit. Machine was totally fine.

I should be getting my kit any day…pretty stoked. How difficult was the install? Any tips/advice would be most appreciated.

You better get some pics on here when finished!
