Attack From Mars colorDMD footage from Southern Pinball Festival...

#2 12 years ago

I could have sworn I already saw this footage months ago, is it new or is it just something you stumbled upon?

Hey HP, how many times are you going to start a thread on this topic?

Just messing with you. However, it is preferable for you to update your old thread.

They actually are LCD's I believe.

Saw one of these in person and wasn't impressed enough to want to spend $400 on one.

One thing I remember that I didn't like was that in video mode, when the attacking green saucers are destroyed (by green laser beams), the explosions themselves are also in green.

Thus no improvement over standard orange in this example.

My 2 cents only.

After watching that color DMD is awesome but can not say much for the AFM animations considering its a top 10 pin.

#9 12 years ago

Seems like a lot of just white and not as impressed as the footage put by COLORDMD.

The quality of that video sucks hard, so it doesn't look too impressive. I'd recommend going to their site to see the official video.

I think it's pretty cool, but as a player, I'm not going to see half of the animations anyway....it's more for the people who are watching. Not worth the money imo.

You're all welcome for this exclusive footage, love ya all.

Quoted from RobT:

Not worth the money imo.

Have to agree on this after playing an AFM with one installed.

MAYBE for twice the cost of a regular DMD.

Maybe.

But not for three times the cost.

My 2 cents only of course.

I don't get it. I don't see a difference worth paying for.
