Rejoining the AFM club after about 5yrs!

Last machine had it all.. my new one not so much...

I would like to see the different colour Bill Ung Saucer & Expansion kits with different colours.. blue looks cool on the Expansion, but I can find a picture of them in the saucers..

What are people’s thoughts!?

Got a Pinbits shaker motor (second hand)

It has the shaker, power board and wire harness.. but I’m not sure if it is all there..

Could a AFM owner with shaker take some pictures and show where the harness connects into please..

I got the shaker motor, board and a wire harness that plugs into the board and then plugs into a square 4 pin connector which has 3 wires - red, purple, and grey...

Is that right..

Has anyone bought a Mirco AFM playfield recently.. wondering what sort of quality he is pumping out recently

Yes it is. A first run - look at the COW RAMP Jackpot insert art.. notice anything different about it..

I was actually the one who pointed it out to Mirco some years ago, it was corrected on later runs

Yeah, it’s nothing major..

The clear on the first runs were thin, check edges of SOL hole, and look around ball guide holes, put washers in there to spread the load..

I did an AFM restore with a first run and the clear cracked after around 4 weeks... put this playfield has had 7+yrs to cure

Doing AFM shop job..

What is the best method to clean the light boards in the game.. so many results when searched that it doesn’t come up!..

Boards have black grime on them, tried spraying with IPA Solvent but not shifting it..

Hey All

Got an issue with AFM switch matrix

When switch 33 ‘T’ in MARTIAN it activates switch 43.. Ball Trough Opto 2..

I have checked the diode on the target, it appears good (5.6 one way)

Looked at the switches on same row... but can’t see dang thing like crossed wires/solider splash etc..

Read Marvins guide, and looked at the 7opto board..
it’s only 1 switch and so I don’t think it’s the board.. that would be an entire Row/coloum Out or acting funny??

Any advice would be appreciated

Any of the switches... not just the ones on the row/coloum?

Should note that it is only when the ball trough is empty... when balls are in the tough the opto reads as closed and then on switch test only reads the ‘T’ when switch is pressed

Started a game and did multiball.. took the balls out and pressed the T switch.. game didn’t shut off or award anything random.. just the lite T animation..

It may well be switch 43 as there looks to be a wire.. (white/orange) soldiered to the switch lug on the banded side of the diode.. looked at all the others and they are not..

Follow on to the powder coating... kinda got the bug.

The gloss black looks amazing.. it’s not installed yet, but I’m thinking of getting the
lockbar receiver,
playfield support brackets,
Left VUK up kicker (already black but not gloss)
Voltage box near coin door
Playfield support bar.

Think these will look good.. but how far would you go!?

The ball guides.. what’s people’s thought on getting those done? The big metal piece below the apron for example..
