Quoted from vbobrusev:this is just regular sleeve for cables? Or it have special function, like refractory sleeve or something else?
It called Alpha clear non-heatshrink PVC tubing. Its just an insulator. Sometimes on ebay as PVC 105. I think there are 2 sizes on AFM.
Quoted from Blitzburgh99:I'm curious...seems like other games that have clubs have tons of page of postings. Only 7 pages for AFM? Why? Yes
Less typing, more playing!

Cause we're too busy having fun and playing the damn thing instead of talking about how many action figures we can hot glue gun onto it!
Might as well replace all the parts that fail over time:
https://www.pinbits.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=13_11&products_id=214
I see they are currently sold out, but it is probably worth contacting them to see if they have any of the parts available.
So finally my attack from mars restored... Condition was 3/5 when i got it. Many small things to fix.

Right now i am working on side blades for this game in style as i made backboard decal.
I recently replaced the switches in the shield assembly. I had been getting instances where the shield would not go up after a saucer was destroyed. The next shot would award dirty pool and then shots after that would just go through to the VUK without credit going to anything. It wasn't common, but happened often enough to be annoying. Well the switch replacement helped that a ton and I thought the issue was gone. It happened a few days ago in a 3-player game. Player 1 lowered the shield and then drained. It never went back up for player 2. Player 1 came back around and picked up where they left off and things seemed to be back to working fine. Not the end of the world, but I would really like to eliminate this issue.

Game plays perfect. The operator that blessed me with it is a great guy. Always has his route games running like a top. Never thought I would own my personal grail game. Playing and enjoying daily!
Quoted from Blitzburgh99:Think she’s seen a few quarters in her day?
That's insane. No telling how many plays that thing has had.

Congratulations on finding your grail game She certainly deserves someone who is going to be nice to her after such a brutal life.

Or perhaps it had the same roughed up balls in it for a long time. Warnings about how abusive worn (pitted, chipped, rusted, whatever) balls are well documented and can chew up a playfield surprisingly quickly.

Recently joined the club and need to replace some of the Large Saucer LED's. Any vids, pics or suggestions how to go about it? I have the LED's, I'm just not good at soldering and have been putting it off. Thanks

Hi, Nice machine. That decal in the back of the cabinet looks like it is backlit? or is it just a reflection of light from inside the playfield? The earth and the space ship really seem to pop
Does anyone have an extra plastic that goes under the left side of the large saucer that you would sell? (pic below) I have located the one for the right side that runs up near the bumpers but cannot find the one the sits near the ball lock. PM me with details. Thanks
I need to replace the plastics top and bottom of main saucer. Could a guy buy AFMr parts that are the newer look metal saucers for it? If so, where?

Planetary Pinball Supply, if they become available. CGC doesn't sell parts.

Quoted from desertT1:What might cause the music to go out (briefly) or make the power up “bong” while a game is in play?
Power to sound board dropping ?

The music cuts out briefly, but the sfx keep playing. It might be 3 seconds. Any way to check power is ok?
What is the best version ROM recommended?
Also, does this connector go anywhere, or is it not used in AFM? My left side flashers are out and before I dig into things too much, maybe it’s just this connector? But I can’t find the other end to plug to. It’s on the back/tip end of playfield in the middle
