    Friction fit

I usually wrap two piece of friction tape on the bottom edge a few inches away from each corner.

Otherwise, no adhesive or glue needed.

I've used friction tape but most times I find it to be too thick. Maybe it would go on if I beat it with a mallet but I'm not comfortable hitting it very hard. In those cases I just use one or two layers of electrical tape instead. You can add layers until you feel you've got a good fit.
