To remove the gofers, it's best to get at it from the underside. There is a bolt & screw that goes threw thier head.
The two screws on top at just to hold down the top metal plate. They don't hold the gofers on at all.
Quoted from Mnluz:Mine is broken
What's broken? Did the plunger break?
The spring you're showing in the second picture does not look broken (although it is bent a little bit).
Quoted from Dewey68:That's where the screw goes through to hold the gopher. He's missing the top portion.
AH, yes. I forgot about that portion.
Carry on then.
Quoted from cosmokramer:looks great...did you build that cab?
Thanks. Cabinet was built for me, but I had to finish it (locate & drill holes, supports, sand, decals, etc)
It’s the third new cabinet I’ve done ,first was Wh2o, then MB. I’m pretty used to the wpc cabs now.
Quoted from PinballCoug:Someone should be able to scan and 3D print those two critters can't they? I've been looking for some time with no luck and very close to just attempting a repaint myself.
No, you'd have to make a mold to make the gofers. They're a soft rubber type material, because they take such a beating during gameplay.
I highly suggest taking them out of the machine and sending them to Modfather for custom repaint. They look great.
I think the last set of gofers I bought were from Germany. I'm not sure if they're still in stock, or not.
Quoted from ptrav1:Good evening. Got a question. When I plunge the ball all the way around and it comes down to the left inlane switch the jump ramp doesn’t come down. Jump ramp and the switch work in test mode and the switch activates the jump ramp during other parts of the game. What could be causing the switch not to trigger the jump ramp on initial plunge?
Also, check the switch in the ramp. It needs to trigger that, for the inlane switch to work on a plunge.
Quoted from TwilightZone:Has anyone installed a playfield protector on NGG? I just bought a NGG and it includes an uninstalled playfield protector. I'm picking the game up in a week.
I'm wondering how to handle the disk. If I install a protector, the disk will be lower. Looking at the manual it doesn't seem like there is a way to adjust that. Maybe I'm missing something.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks!
Yes, I’ve put one in before. On the underside of the disc is an adjustment screw/nut. Just raise the disc up until it’s level with the protector.
Quoted from soren:Actually I wouldn't mind replacing these. Are they available?
Not that I’ve found.
You have two options: have a set made or grind down the tops.
I put mom on the surface grinder and made it flat. You’ll have to adjust the height of the mech to make it level with the pf, but probably would have to do that anyways.
Quoted from alveolus:I have further modified my custom topper. I think this will be the final version.
Great job. That integration is perfect.
Quoted from jackd104:Sometime the game makes a glass shatter sound effect and the dmd gets a diagonal stripe patternand the game restarts. It is not like a typical low 5v restart I’m used to. Seems more like a software crash. Anyone have a clue?
Sounds like a slam tilt. Check the slam switches, including the coin door one.
