Guys, I just joined this club. :DMy NGG is near CQ, but I noticed some light paint chipping on Buzz and Bud (fairly minor) and went ahead and ordered brand new gophers. They are due to arrive today, but the more I read about this game / the more paranoid I am to do this swap. My current gophers work perfectly, and I don't want to open up a can of worms doing this swap...

Thoughts?

Quoted from Blackstorm:

That whole gofer mech has a bunch of parts but I've taken them apart and put them back together a lot. Don't worry about it. It's easy. Your first time doing it so just take pictures so if you forget you can look back to see how everything goes on place. If I remember correctly after taking the whole mech out the plate on top of the gofers and the gofers themselves come off first so you shouldn't have any problems.

So to replace the gophers I don't have to take apart any of the mech? Assuming I do this from the underside of the PF?

Quoted from Blackstorm:

Yes take the mech out from underside of playfield. You will have to disconnect the wires to it but they just clip in. Then unscrew the plate on top of the gofers head and then there will be a bolt that holds the gofers head on that you unscrew. Pull the head off. It's not a full head it is just the front and sides. It's been awhile since I've did it so I'm just going by memory. Should be simple. If you get confused shoot me a pm and I'll take mine out and walk you through it

Great - thanks

I have a restored one - no slam ramp damage - and everything is 9.5+/10. I'm not sure I'd take anything less than $4k for it.

Only 2,700 made - say go for it.

Quoted from tmay:

Has anyone fitted out their NGG with LEDs, and if so, which set would you recommend? Not looking for something that is blinding and would prefer a kit that has it all. Thanks!

You could consult with Art at Comet - he has great advice and his product is excellent and well-priced.
