IMHO, when the licensing deal was made to create the machines, rights for songs goes along with it.
the machines are also playing lower bitrate fascimile's, NOT audio CD quality, I'd sure argue the point.
these jokers are getting away with murder darn near, like cable company "digital television". I see it all the time, low bitrate blocky squares and glitches popping up is ridiculous. when cable tv was a new thing early 80's they boasted NO COMMERCIALS because you're a paying subscriber. now its 4 minutes of program and 2 minutes of commercials like clockwork, and the rates only go UP! it's all "government regulatory agency" approved of course. I dont understand why we're not able to class action litigate against the big corporate structures for scarring our minds with "gimme a break KitKat I'm a Pepper Oscar Mayer weiner" crap, you know.. all the "folk songs" as featured in "Demolition Man".
