Gryszzz once gave me a half a pack of smokes in the expo parking lot. Can I join this thread.
I once told Gryszzz that I was proud of him for not getting in a huge fight with some big bonehead who knocked his ice chest of beer over at Indy 500 infield, and not getting arrested and hand-cuffed and placed in the barricaded off police time-out tent.
I'm proud of Levi and o-din for being man enough to apologize even if they didn't need to, and to patch things up and make friends instead of enemies. This is the kinder gentler Pinside that Robin and everyone knew was out there, but hidden behind macho tough guy online forum behavior. I think I'll kick back and have a Fresca or a Tab, or some Shasta.
Cheers!
Quoted from o-din:So what I've learned from all this is if you are apologetic and don't hold grudges, good karma will follow and you get to meet famous people.
Are you sure you didn't sit next to Reba McEntire on that ride? Spittin' image.
Lol looks like Levi and his gang are gettin ready to jump tf outta ole Slash. I bet Al got that tophat.

Pencil thin moustache dat you??? Damn that was a FUN night....
Quoted from zr11990:So tell us the story of how you got to meet Slash.
Not much of a story, we helped move and setup JJP games backstage for slash and duff to play during their multi show stand at Madison square garden, and we got front row tickets and backstage access to the vip lounge so we could hang out with models, drink free booze and watch the Yankee game during the Chinese democracy numbers
It didn’t suck.
I'm not sure I ever told the story of how I met George Peppard, but it was around 1985 and A-Team was a big hit show. He rolled into the gas station I worked at with his kid and a cast on his arm driving a Mercedes.
After the few people that had gathered around him left I just walked up to him and in a spicoli kind of way asked
"aren't you Banacek?".

Sounds fun. I think its funny that he has pinballs set up at every show. He should have JJP build another GnR pin.
Quoted from CrazyLevi:Your Ali story was better
Yeah, that was a few months later at the gas station on the other side of the freeway. It was at a major off ramp so we had lots of traffic on Saturdays.
Last one was about ten years ago when I took my daughter to Disney's California Adventure and we had just got on the Grizzly Rapids ride and they stopped it so Snoop Dogg and his entourage could get on the raft behind us. People were going crazy and when we got off my little daughter said she wanted to meet him. I said that's easy as he will come out this side door.
Now I fully understand these celebrities get hounded everywhere they go and I don't want to be that guy, but as he popped thru that door and waited for the rest of his crew to catch up I was already a foot away from him so I casually said " Hey Snoop, you're more popular than Micky Mouse" and he gave me a little grin.
Edit- forgot about the porn star that came in my work a while back, but that's another story.
Quoted from o-din:So what I've learned from all this is if you are apologetic and don't hold grudges, good karma will follow and you get to meet famous people.
Quoted from spfxted:... and that's how Karma works.
HOLY CRAP - is that Parvati from Survivor?!!!
Cmon, Ted never met any famous people.
Except of course that one dude from The Fly and Voyage the Bottom of the Sea.
I was in California a while back, and Gary Coleman was in front of me at the bank. I said to him, "Hey, aren't you Webster?"
Hahahaha. I crack me up.
RIP GC.

Oh yeah....guess who this is.....
Phil Collins?
I want to see a pic of you in one of those Hawaiian shirts with the original Steve McGarrett and then I'll be impressed.
Oh man. This thread led me to the Crazy Levi apology thread which then lead me to theGuru's Sorcerer thread. Now that is a fantastic for sale thread.
