I am working on Bally Viking and I am replacing the rectifier board.

I am about to connect E1 and E2 although have noticed that the current configuration is different to the schematics in the manual and connection/cable table at https://pinwiki.com/wiki/index.php/Bally/Stern#How_To_Hook_Up_a_Bally_AS-2518-18_Rectifier_Board.

I have the following
- yellow wire from Transformer lug 5 going to E2
- red wire from transformer lug 1 going to E1

Ignoring the colors should it be
- Transformer lug 5 going to E1 (currently yellow wire)
- Transformer lug 1 going to E2 (currently red wire)

I hope this make sense and any advice is appreciated.

Quoted from Pinbflip:

I have the following

What you have is correct and the way I've seen all these early Ballys wired.

Red (thick) wire from rectifier board E1 to transformer lug 1
Yellow (thick) wire from rectifier board E2 to transformer lug number for the appropriate line voltage in your area.

The important parts are to wire the transformer to the correct line voltage in your area, and that the active/hot pin on your line cord plug arrives at the rectifier board J2 pin 6 which goes directly to the F6 fuse on the rectifier board. i.e. active/hot wire must be the fused wire for safety.
