It sounds like he was a cunning, ham of a guy.

Just for the people like me reading this who do not know any of what is being described here, my question is:
People are saying that the Bally/Williams pins were just rotting away in GC's possession. Was this stuff in dis-repair before he bought the stuff or was it just not taken care of when in his possession, stored incorrectly or what? Thanks!
For the insiders, as I know nothing on the subject:
Presently, when it is active, Pinball Vault is selling the Bally and Williams production/design drawings, licensed from Rick at Planetary. What was the life cycle of the drawings when B/W got out? Did Gene C have possession of them? Just wondering as I have obtained some of those drawings, and the skid was as I understand, not inventoried. Side fact: IJ TPA drawings are all hand drawn!
Mick
Quoted from Bud:I think I have the IJ playfield drawings, I’ll check when I get back home. If I have them and anybody wants to see pics I can post them.
It’s crazy how anybody that’s been in this hobby for a minute has a connection to this whole thing or owns a piece of the history!
I was asking Pinball Vault if they had the IJ TPA playfield drawings and he never found them, although I don't think he has gone through the whole skid yet. Maybe that's why he could not locate it.
Quoted from Tilt:Kevin, There was still value that Gene had in them whether you agree or not. I dont know the cost of a playfield to make, but lets say it 300 each. There is no way that CGC would give 60k+ to Gene out of good will. Apparently it was a better value for them to "give" these to him than to pay the cost of whatever infringement they had. I guarantee CGC took the cheapest option, it was not a charity thing. So apparently whatever Gene held over them was valueable in some since from something that he owned
bad math on my part
