Pops can be dialed in, it's all in the gapping of the spoon switch and the EOS switch if applicable. The ball should travel enough under the pop that it is pushed out with force once the switch is activated and the ring lowers. Too sensitive, and the ball never gets far enough under the ring to get pushed out.
