It is coming down. I shovelled out one half of my driveway so that I can get the Subaru out for work in the morning. By the time I had finished, it needed to be redone. Of course if it like the snowfall in 2003, it won't matter as a 1997 Outback doesn't have enough clearance for the roads. So much for all wheel drive.

I think it’s time to get Thor out! I have about 300 feet of driveway, so Thor makes a much easier job of it!

We only get 1-2 days a year around here where it snows.
Even then it only sticks around for a few hours, maybe a day at most.

Maybe I’m crazy, but being snowed in for a week or so sounds awesome to me (as long as I’m well stocked on supplies and the power is on).

I gave up. Shoveled for an hour and barely made a dent. It's over 2 feet here. Nobody else on my street is even out trying to shovel

You need a Thor. It’s a beast! Can throw snow 62 feet!

Used to live in Loveland. Stay safe!

Used to live in Lakewood, Co. Loved the big snow events! Nothing more fun than driving around in the fresh powder.

2003 I think was the last time we've had one like this. No signs of plows in my neighborhood. Looks like we're not going anywhere for a couple of days

Let me have a crack at THOR! I will run it down the street and get everyone out for work in the morning!

So today is the big dig out. Officially Denver got 2 feet of snow. We probably got a little more here (30”). No big deal really for me being a mountain guy we see way more than this in Idaho Springs every year. Sure would be nice to have that backhoe down here though...
Did have one casualty in the gameroom. My Monster Bash smoked the AC Line filter. (I guess due to power bumps) Damn thing smoked up the gameroom and sent me into panic mode. Strange thing, the game was off so once I realized it was MB, I went back to tech mode. The smell of burning plastic still lingers.

Last night I drove from Denver up to Lyons picked up a machine and drove back to Denver. Very little traffic. Saw this along the way:

My roof overhang is the coolest picture I got. Being up on a hill I have drifts about 3-4 feet due to the wind.

I will never deal with that shit after this Winter. I'm delaying a drive to Reno right now as I-80 is still closed across Wyoming and the West half of Nebraska.

Drove up to Steamboat for skiing and snowboarding today.

Wow those pictures are awesome. I wish that hit in northern Wisconsin and Michigan's UP.
Only used my snowmobile in Wakefield Michigan once this year. More salt in the wounds Abr cross country ski area closed last Wednesday with the rain and warm up.
