Quoted from RetroRambler:I am seeing this push a lot. Younger people are burned out on the digital landscape. Video games are just played out. I was there and remember the very early video games like Sea Wolf, Air Sea Battle, Circus, etc in the mid 70's. I was around 7 years old back then going with my parents to the bowling alleys. Back then, it was pinball because the video games were more of a novelty. By 1981, it was full game on for video games and pinball was dead until Space Shuttle, PinBot, and High Speed revived pinball.
Fast forward to today, and I just go from game to game on Xbox Game Pass being bored to tears eventually turning off the console after a short time period. I actually prefer to go into the game room and play Galaga or Donkey Kong vs most modern games. I own or have owned almost every console since the early 80s to the XBOX X/PS5 era, but now I am returning to pinball. I am glad to see young adults getting back into board games, pinball, etc. If you haven't tried it, give foosball, bubble hockey, air hockey, bowling, putt-putt golf, and shooting pool a try. I never thought I would see this push toward as you call it - "analogue entertainment". I also like the term "non-deterministic gaming" since it's a game of physics with real mechanics vs software code only.
No offense but...
This simply is not true.
