I just bought these slow blow 5A 250v fuses from Amazon. When I compare the new with the old, the new fuses filament is much thinner than the old ones. From the picture, the one on the left is the new one. Should I use these fuses or shop for a different brand?

    It’s fine to use.
It may not be as “slo-blo” as the original.
    Always buy Buss brand fuses.
    Pinball Life sells them.

The one with the thin wire looks like a fast blo fuse. Don't install a fast blo fuse where a slow blo fuse is called for or it can blow..well..fast.

Says slow blow on the packaging but to play it safe, I ordered some new ones.

Buy the Bussman brand from pinball Life in multiples of five as that is the quantity per metal tin. Makes it easier to organize them.

Should also say slow-blow or "SB" on the fuse itself near the rating.

Or "T" for time-lag, depending on manufacturer.
