I see that!

Thank you, thank you very much...try the veal!...tip your bartenders...

LMAO

Quoted from LTG:

If you try to cross the Atlantic in April, on a WOZ, and hit an iceberg.
They include you in one of the highest grossing movies of all time ?
LTG : )

See...now this is why I visit Pinside...LOL.

Quoted from PW79:

What's the average number of years the average man can actually buy & play pinball?

Whatever year he gets divorced all the way to 75.2

Love it! Vid is, as always, pure comedy gold! The sad thing this time is he actually isn't kidding.

That's assuming I could find a girl...

That means I get 44.2 years. Sweet!

Exactly!

I've been playing pinball for 48 out of my 56 years. That's 85.7% of my life. Thanks.

#262 10 years ago

I disagree with PismoArcade's last comment. It seemed empty and void of any serious thought.

#263 10 years ago

So is the latest news JJP is testing a batch of 10 production boards? Just curious if they have the green light to begin the installation of the boards into the assembled games. It's hard to get the news with all the other chatter

I believe Pismo shared the full and latest shipping update from JJP above....

They have given the go to order board sets in the hundreds but there are a few boards that still need more testing and they hope that testing will be finished this week.

#267 10 years ago

Thanks for the update. (Note sensible individual on pinside, CHECK)

I have never played WOZ, so have no opinion, but I am very interested and anxious to play it at the Allentown Show. Perhaps a production model will be there (crosses fingers)...

The latest version should be there and I'm looking forward to playing it again.

#269 10 years ago

The latest public code will be at allentown. Maybe i'll demo the updater as well.

That movie also had a really bad song on the soundtrack that was played over and over , So I guess it really has to be the fact that there was tits in that movie that it did so well . I bet if they put some tits on the Wizard of Oz pinball machine people would stop complaining .

At this point I could trade my WoZ for a Metallica LE and Im not a fan of the band. The game looks COOL. WoZ on the other hand, not so much so far.

Excited Sports Announcer Voice:
Check out that haymaker! JJP has been floored by the ferocity of that blow. 10, 9, 8.... 3, 2, 1... that's it its over! Stern keeps the championship belt for another decade!

#273 10 years ago

to ops' original question: YES

#274 10 years ago

has anyone gotten a refund on their WOZ to get Metallica instead?

#275 10 years ago

I cancelled my Hobbit preorder for MetLE, may still get Hobbit if it looks good, I do like what JJP is doing but not a fan of the WOZ layout, so hopefully Hobbit is better...

#276 10 years ago

Does anyone actually expect WOZ to ship in 2013?

#277 10 years ago

yes

Quoted from mattenno:

Does anyone expect asinine comments like this to ever end?

#279 10 years ago
Quoted from riggy469:

no

It is interesting how some of the most obnoxious people on pinside are often the ones that don't list either their collection or their location, or don't have any machines at all.

#281 10 years ago

i'm maybe wrong but i think i'll get my woz this year

#282 10 years ago
Quoted from mattenno:

I did! I was just burnt out on the WOZ and have some very strong negative opinions... but I don't want to turn into a watch the world burn type of person (more then I have) I trust that Jersey Jack did what he did for the love of the game, but he failed me so decided to part ways and get a game that fits my personality better.

It took 2.5 years and $7M to build the titanic
Anyone see any parallels?

Well, there are a lot of WOZ buyers jumping ship.

#284 10 years ago
Quoted from VegasAlleycat:

Unfortunately, no.

Wait.. if the "asinine" comments never like this (Does anyone actually expect WOZ to ship..) never end.... does that mean you are saying the game will never ship?

I would think the best way to stop that comment is for JJP to actually ship the game.

The last update I got had a vacation schedule and a box in it... just saying! Then the next e-mail I got was your game has been successfully transferred.

#287 10 years ago

I'm not burned out on WOZ. I'm burned out on the burned out thread.

#288 10 years ago

Once again Ted posts the official emoticon of WOZ owners waiting for the pin to ship.

Bad for them, good for those on Jack's wait list. And yes, there is still a wait list...

Bingo.....

#291 10 years ago

So now that Stern has screwed the dealers on Metallica by taking orders, and then backing out on the dealers for orders that were already placed and some paid in full to the dealers. Why, did Stern do this? They could make allot more money by shipping more machines overseas and screwing it's US customers & dealers. Does that make Jack look good? Just asking... FYI: Hey Stern Metallica is a USA band! Sell them the Stones....

#292 10 years ago

I wonder how many people got spooked and tried to lock in Stern's rumored Star Trek by sending in deposits to distributors now?

I was thinking exactly the same thing. The sad thing is...I actually thought of doing this myself!

Quoted from jarjarisgod:

A friend bought two MOP LE's from two different distributors in order to insure that he got one. He ordered the day the pics were released. He isn't getting a MOP LE from either distributor, including the one that he mailed a check to.

I pre ordered a Star Trek LE 3 months ago.

Yes, it's true...and boring.

#299 10 years ago

I'm thinking JJ is doing backflips right now due to Stern stepping on his weiner and taking some of the negative focus away from him....for a day or so anyhow....

Damn... That sucks. One would think he'd have covered his bases pretty well in that case.
