This thread got me to install Spotify last week. The free version has limited skips (if memory serves 6 per hour) and the ads are few and 30 seconds long (with no ads in succession). I like that I can pick Judas Priest and listen to just them for hours.

For me streaming won't replace digital downloads. I still enjoy listening to live bootlegs and albums from front to back. And with digital downloads I can create my own playlists in Plex where I rarely skip a track and can stream to multiple devices wherever I am in the house (and could do it remotely if I really wanted to). And Plex is available on all my devices where Spotify is not.

Which devices can't use Spotify? If there's not a dedicated app for a particular OS, you can use the web version no problem. And yes, the free version is more like Pandora, the paid version is a whole different ballgame.

All the big storage iPods, Pono, 2017 Walkman, tablet away from wifi

You could definitely use any tablet without wifi. You can save tracks and playlists offline with Spotify Premium, I do it all the time if I know I'll be without internet for a few hours. Pono users, you've got me there.

Roku. A lot of times I sit in the living room, fire up the TV and Plex and listen to music.

That's because MJ only had sleepovers with little boys.

Don't forget the perversion the cops found when they came to drag his corpse out of the bedroom:

CDs are dead? Shit! I can finally upgrade my Eight track player to CDs now.
Seriously I must be the only one left that never learned how to stream music. Everything I own is on CD.

Which reminds me, have you seen the BBC documentary on R Kelly? I've loved his music but it's pretty much ruined for me at this point. Disgusting how that stuff gets pushed under the rug for a popular entertainer.

I did not see the BBC doc, but I'm remembering him marrying some girl who was 15 a few years back.

If the record company is making money, they will sweep everything under the rug for you.

Remember when the FBI discovered that MJ paid off 23 sets of parents so he could have sex with their little boys?

I don't like shlt like that at all.

    That's me.

I'll do just about anything, man, woman, animal....but not children.
