Dear Stern,
I think you should buy the license for Archer, and hire Keith Elwin as the designer. This might work well as your next "studio" pin. I would happily buy it.
Thanks,
Russell

From what I've seen of the layout this would be a very fun pin. Plus Archer is very popular, clip art would be fine, the call outs are funny as hell but still mostly family friendly. If stern is gonna do it they should do it quick. Not sure how long Archer will be around, things just don't last these days, IMO.
Super IN!
The Elwins have outdone themselves with this awesome game.
Thanks again guys for bringing it to Arcade Expo 2.0 so that everyone attending could bask in the Archer goodness!

Archer has been around for a while now. I don't think it's going anywhere.
Please keep Stern away from Archer. The homebrew Archer machine is EXACTLY what an Archer pin should be.

and praytell, how exactly would it get made and into the hands of those wishing to purchase it if the elwin's didn't get someone like stern to take on the venture?
it would work well as a boutique run just like whoa nelly, big juicy melons did. stern just did the assembly and distribution of the machine, no input on design
Quoted from DaveH:THIS is why we can't have nice things!
Now what do you mean by that comment?
Ive never heard of this archer. . Can someone explain what it is ? .
Must be an American thing as im in Australia and never heard of it

Do they have Google in Australia?

It's been shown on ABC2 literally for years.
DANGER ZONE!!!
A commercially available Archer pin would be a "holy $#!t-snacks!" moment for my bank account. Immediate insta-buy.
Later,
EV

bwahaha.... hahahahahaha.... hahahahahahaha!!! Archer... family friendly?? Seriously?!?
If the Archer call outs are family friendly, then they sampled sound clips from the wrong show.
Quoted from TimeBandit:It's been shown on ABC2 literally for years.
Mate never heard of it and dont watch kids shows or Abc for kids channel... id rather spend my time playing pinball !!
Quoted from stevevt:Do they have Google in Australia?
No we still have wireless radios but i hear a black and white television might be installed in the local pub end of the month if the brewrey truck can make it past the killer Koala jump bears and the aboriginal tribes on the town boundary near the billabong

Soft core porn is about as close to a kids theme as Archer is.
I'd be in for one if it's done well. My wife and I both love the show.

Haha, kids show.
Is Elwin actively selling the design? I don't know all the history of it. Archer certainly has that cool factor and humor is always great for pinball, but I am not sure Archer has the global appeal and awareness of a license Stern could sell large volumes with. Maybe that isn't the goal.
Makes more sense for Spooky to do this. Why not Spooky?
Don't know the status. He and his brother are working on it. They brought it to INDISC, and it looked cool. I think it would benefit from the Stern team tweaking and optimizing it, but having the Elwins involved gives it instant credibility.

Spooky Pinball?
Quoted from Chitownpinball:So there are TWO home brew archer pins huh? Wow
No there is only one. People are speculating how it might be finalized and then produced in quantities that keep pricing reasonable. But carry on.
I watch Archer, but it's not a dream theme. Still, I've been very happy to see the progress on this homebrew, http://pinballreviews.com/archerblog.htm. The flipper layout reminds me of Twilight Zone, in a good way, but the shots do seem to incorporate more flow. I'd actually enjoy seeing some subtle reference to other pinball machines. For example the "piano shot" from Twilight Zone. After completing a few loops play the piano music followed by a clip from Cheryl saying, "Please tell me you guys heard that" or "God damn it, shut up John Williams". It's from the episode Sea Tunt, Part 1. She's going crazy and can here the non-diegetic music from the show. I just think subtle humor like that would really fit the Archer theme. Pack it full of inside jokes.

Having Jpop involved in Magic Girl gave that one instant credibility too.
Stern just announced another partnership with Freres/Nordman. Sounds like whatever they come up with will be the next studio release.

JPOP never displayed Magic Girl publically, The Elwin Bros. displayed Archer at the Arcade Expo. Big difference. what's with all the negativity?
Bad ass pin, btw. Loved finding an Easter egg in front of Randy

Not just displayed it either. I played it. Work in progress for sure, but they said that up front. Some easy shots, some a little harder, and a few that were pretty tough (I'm looking at you left ramp) with some pretty cool mechs as well. I enjoyed it.
Quoted from Wakky:Mate never heard of it and dont watch kids shows or Abc for kids channel... id rather spend my time playing pinball !!
Archer is about as much a "Kids" show as Fritz the cat is a "kids" animated movie. Maybe you should watch an episode before you call it a kids show.
Hell, you might even like it.
Quoted from TheLaw:Stangely I've never seen the Archer or The Venture Bros.
But Archer over Venture Bros?
Both very funny, but somewhat different shows.
But both have great voice casts.

I know what I want for (XX)X-Mas!
