I would be willing to bet that the hardware is the reason for the flipper delay, not a software optimization issue that could be corrected by a setting. Arcade 1up has said that they worked hard on flipper delay and the play experience so I don’t feel it’s a “if they wanted too” issue, at least with the current hardware they chose for cost savings. I’m sure they realized they could improve it with better hardware but chose not too.

    Quoted from Dantesmark:

    Great review! Thx
Ps any chance u could do a top down of the flippers and ur hands hitting the buttons to see how bad the lag is?

I like these and if I were to buy one I would get the AFM version, but as with the arcade cabinets, the first generation cabinets were not as high quality as the 2nd and 3rd generations. I feel a lot of the shortfalls of the Arcade 1up pins will be improved in later generations. That being said if a good deal pops up ($300 or less) on a AFM version down the road I might pick one up...if not I’ll see what the later versions bring. No FOMO for me on this.

    Quoted from dtrimberger:

I've been aware of the Arcade 1up machines for awhile but have never been interested in their cabs until now with the AFM machine. Some of the threads on Reddit note quite a bit of mods to their other cabinets which are expected to pop up for the pinball machines as well. My impression is that this includes performance mods. Anyone have experience with these A1up "mods" in the past.

Here’s a couple videos of people starting to mod the pinball. Those 3 YouTuber’s cover the modding the best IMO...check their videos tab to find more videos. The second cooltoy video shows a easy way to add a monitor into the backglass area.

Here’s a webpage that scrubs the internet for Arcade1up deals. This was setup by a popular YouTuber.

    Quoted from Krh13:

I am late to the party and just ordered a AFM Arcade1up. I've been glancing through all of the posts here but it's a little overwhelming. Is there a recommended websites for instructions in adding tables and such? Or perhaps a post # from this thread if you happen to know it.
This weekend I'm going to go through the entire thread.
I did see the YouTube video to add the 32" monitor to replace the small monitor it comes with. That looks souch better!
    Thanks!

I am just joining the journey myself…just picked up my AFM model last night. Time to read read read. How is it going so far for you?
