Quoted from northvibe:Booth is pretty early stages but I didn’t see a pin yet. However they have a ton of new games...
Well, what are the new games? I’ve heard rumors of pole position, a shooter and possible track and field.

Quoted from kermit24:Not sure if this will be a type of gateway drug to get more people buying real pinball machines, but I can say for certain that I wouldn't be in this hobby without the Pinball Arcade iPad app.. So really if they can have a decent playing virtual pin for ~$500, I can't see why anyone would think thats a bad thing.
I agree and it looks pretty darn good as well so won’t be such a cheap looking eyesore amongst real machines/games.
Quoted from Stal8080:I will be curious to see if in the future they take advantage of the wifi functionality of the pin cabinets. I've never played a Virtual Pin machine, but love the concept.
Say what you want about Arcade1UP....but I for one am a fan. Each cabinet generation has been an consumer driven upgrade from the previous while the initial retail prices have not sky rocketed. I can't tell you how much fun my friends and I had over the holidays cramming around the 4 player TMNT machine I picked up. Yep it was tight and a bit awkward but no one cared and the design was very true to the original cabinet at a fraction of the price. For the money and most importantly (the space) I saved while still being able to play one of my favorite arcades as a kid I hope they stay around. If they keep finding creative ways to bring new life to old classics...ie NBA JAM cabinet will have online play, I could see them staying around awhile.
I’ve been thinking about picking up the golden tee, looks good and seems to play well. I would buy a regular golden tee much better value but don’t think it will make my 180 degree turn on basement steps and don’t believe it comes apart. Arcade 1up solves this problem.
Quoted from arcademojo:Having owned a few original Golden Tee games. You're not getting one down those steps. No doubt about it.
Yeah...they are a bear!
Quoted from Raegor:The modern generation of golden tee are pedestals with hdmi out. But they are expensive.
Prefer the classics, the new ones seem over the top cheesy even though the graphics are better.late 90’s - 05 were the best ones in my mind.
Apparently they yanked the GT/bowling cab after day one. Think the cart got out ahead of the horse on that one.
Quoted from northvibe:I think they pulled a few. Someone supposedly took a pic of bbh pro and that wasn’t on the floor either. I think I saw another pre show that wasn’t out
Wow...didn’t see the big buck hunter photo.
I have to say, they are onto something good in my opinion, I just wish they were ever so slightly larger. I’m not talking much.
Many of these old full size cabs just occupy such a big footprint and these definitely solve that issue.
Quoted from LukyDuck:Don’t forget the weight! It is nice to be able to pickup and move a single cabinet by yourself. Especially if you have to move it up/down stairs.
It would really be something if someone could figure out how to make a full size cabinet that is the same weight as a A1UP and breaks down for moving.
I really see no reason why these machines from arcade 1up can’t be made 12” taller whether it’s in the riser or cab maybe even split between the two and have it 6” wider to accommodate a 19-20” screen. Maybe adds 25-30lbs max.
I would happily pay a little more for this scale.
Quoted from northvibe:I played with the yoke at ces and yeah I agree it feels better than what you’d expect. If I found one on sale I’d be in!
$399 @ Walmart is the cheapest I’ve seen it. Might be picking up a Golden Tee today for $199 which is a smoking deal.
Quoted from manadams:Yeah I only have dedicated arcade games but this looks tempting when the real thing is fetching $3k plus now.
I haven’t seen the real thing lower than $3500 lately and usually aren’t in the best condition. As much as I love Star Wars and this particular game, just not worth it in my opinion.
Quoted from Lethal_Inc:I thought arcade 1ups Golden Tee was pretty awesome so I had to buy Star Wars too! Should be delivered next week from Amazon. I think I’m going to enjoy that even more because I remember playing that back in the day a lot more than Golden Tee.
Star Wars is pretty awesome and I happen to like a 3 games.
Quoted from CaptainNeo:I bought the star wars one, because the custom controller doesn't work for my mame machine. Plays and acts exactly like the original, that i'm unwilling to fork out 3k + for.
Same here 3k plus for that one game is stupid ridiculous. This arcade 1up version plays just as good, has two extra games and looks identical in a slightly smaller package. No complaints.
Picked up a golden tee highly discounted and plays great, trackball is good and again no complaints.
I feel like we’ve been teased with all this shit for 2 years now, When are they actually going to be available?
Quoted from noysboy:I just went through lightly, then heavily modding one of these, since I couldnt deal with the flipper lag and wanted more tables.
1) started off with the stock Arcade1UP AFM
2) Replaced the CPU unit with a Windows PC - needed a ldvs adapater board. (ebay.com link: itm)
3) added a 21.5" lcd monitor for backglass (amazon.com link »)
This all worked well. Used pinup popper to install VPX and games played great! NO perceptible lag with the stock 24" display.
4) replaced the 24" playfield monitor with a 1080p 31.5" monitor (amazon.com link »)
This took some cabinet mods to support it, but it just barely fits and looks great.
I still need to get a piece of tempered glass, but everything is up and running and total cost for everything (not including the PC, since I already had that laying around), was right at $1.1K. Figure maybe $500 for a PC and its a nice little Virtual pin for the game room.
Of course, it was a lot of work...certainly not plug 'n play
Can you put any of the virtual pins on it such as the 50th Bond game and Goonies?
Quoted from arcademojo:Damn if this was local I would grab it tonight!
Saw some of your modded arcade cabinets, any chance you may get into modding their pins like someone did earlier in thread?
