Which pictures? The ones in the beginning of the post? If that's the ones you are talking about I noted that the pictures where from past auctions

Quoted from EACbids:

Here's some examples of pins that were up in previous auctions.

Here's some pictures of the current pins. Sorry if there was any confusion. More detailed photos will be uploaded to bidspotter soon.

From my understanding the Rollercoaster pin was in storage on the ground with the legs off and there was some water that got into the storage unit. From my understanding it's a fairly easy fix to replace the bottom as the speaker is really the only thing attached to the bottom panel. The playfield is in good shape. The pin is being listed as a project pin that needs restoration. I don't believe any of other project pins have holes in the bottom but I will check on Monday.

Piparoo. We do not tolerate shill bidding in our auctions. As for the % it's 15% on the floor and 18% online. Sales tax is no different then buying a game at a store. You have to pay tax on that Minecraft game. No different here. But, if you are out of state and have the game shipped then there is no sales tax. The haunted house is the same one, but didn't actually sell at the last auction although bidspotter listed as such. This haunted house was just shopped and upgraded to all LEDs.

I think some people get confused on what shill bidding really is. Shill bids are not when a consigner of a machine bids on their own items (that's actually perfectly legal when announced a head of time that it's allowed at that auction and when not in a no reserve auction) Shill bidding is when a person that is associated in one way or another with the consigner is bidding on the consigner's item for the sole purpose of driving the bids up. Another example (and more common) is when a seller uses an online auction company to sell an item and then creates another account to keep bidding against someone else without the other person knowing that it's the owner bidding. In a no reserve or absolute auction the consigner is not allowed by law to bid on his/her own items.

A consigner has the right by law to protect him or herself when selling an item. While we do follow these laws to my knowledge our consignors do not bid on their items as most of them are not even at the auction on auction day. A reserve is a way for the consigner to protect themselves without having to bid on their own item.

As I stated before we do not tolerate shill bidding and will ask a bidder to leave if we feel that that bidder is not there to buy.

Quoted from Piparoo:

Thanks for the clarification. I understand the distinction between shill bidding and seller bidding. From the buyer's point of view it makes little difference what you call it. As a buyer you are bidding against someone who does not intend to purchase the item or already owns it. Either way it's bogus. If a seller wants to protect their item from selling too low, insist on setting a reserve price. That way, even the appearance of impropriety is avoided. Just my 2 cents.

And that's exactly why we have reserves (on those items that a seller wants one), to keep the sellers from feeling like they have to bid. Other items, sell to the highest bidder with no reserves (which we will have a lot of this weekend, hint hint).

viperrwk. A published range of estimates could be something we look into for future auctions. What I can say about this upcoming auction is we did get in several truckloads of games with little to no reserves. But please understand we can have anywhere from 15-25 consigners at any given auction so just because there are 6 of the same machines in the auction that doesn't mean they are all from the same consigner nor have the same reserve if any. Since you are so close you can setup a time to look over the lots and leave an absentee bid if you are unable to attend the auction.

Quoted from zacaj:

are you expecting any more pinball machines besides what you've got pictured now?

Yes. All lot numbers and pictures should be up by tomorrow.
