    Hello,
I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on the best way to sand and/or clean a metal apron on a Chicago Coin pinball machine. I just got a new decal for it and wanted to clean it up before applying the decal. Thanks

If you have the ability, I suggest sand blasting. If you take to a powder coating shop, they can do this and coat white to match original.

What it a typical price for powder coating an apron? I have at least 7 Gottlieb EM aprons that I would like to get done with a nice smooth white.

Usually I just sand them with a palm sander to get them smooth and then use a white spray paint that has very little orange peel effect. The white Testors model paint works great but is not cheap.

Sandblast or chemical dip then powder coat if you are going for collector quality. You can usually get this done cheap if it is a common color. These shops paint white and black every day. Special colors are going to cost you more. If it is a common color you can piggyback off of someone elses order.
