I have several older machines with original apron cards with a clear (yellowed now) material which I would like to replace. Is it mylar? What is the thickness?

cut up a cheap clear report folder

Cut up the screen protector that came with your HDTV or monitor, you probably have it rolled up in the box.

Unlike the original material, the stuff never yellows.

Do the right thing, not a bad hack.

The material is called acetate, thickness for machines is 7 mils. You can get it from some office supply stores. Marco sells pre-cut sheets though: http://marcospecialties.com/control/keywordsearch?SEARCH_STRING=acetate

    Scotch peel and stick laminate.

You can also get them laminated at Kinkos for a nice clear impossible to fingerprint solution.

I've done this sandwitching metallic paper with instructions printed on acetate and then laminated. looks good with silver metallic paper on STTNG. I'll probably do ToM one of these days on a gold foil.
